We have 5 ppl (me, dh, dd20, ds18, and ds6) we are renting a house and will have a breakfast at the house. We only plan on eating quick service and when we are busy we tend to eat less. We have 5 day MYW tickets, I figure at least $50 per lunch, and maybe ordering pizza at the house.

How much money would you bring for food alone? We will be there from the 8th until the 16th, We have 2 free dining days at Sea world, I just seem to be having a hard time wrapping my brain around this? :confused3

Have you looked at the menus on allears.net? I would start there to get a handle on prices. Don't forget that tax is 6.5%. I have a feeling that $50/lunch for 5 people will be a bit short, even if one of those people is a younger child.

Groceries for the vacation house will depend on what you will be doing for breakfast. Are we talking pancakes and sausage or granola bars and a yogurt? Whatever you plan, you can expect that groceries will be slightly more than what you spend at home since most likely you will not have those little extras on hand (like margarine, jelly, syrup, etc.) and not everything you purchase will be on sale. Just don't go crazy buying too much. Better to have too little than to waste a lot.

So that leaves you with dinner, when and if you eat it, which can be as affordable as throwing a one-pot meal in the crockpot before you leave the house or as expensive as Victoria & Albert. Your plans will pretty much dictate what you should budget.

Even with counter service meals you should probably plan on $20.00 per person/per meal. Groceries are more expensive in the WDW area, so plan around $40.00 a dinner. Better to budget too high and have a surplus instead of too low and worrying how to pay for the last few days.

Just under $15 for each person for a CS meal if you include a drink and no dessert.
