How much would you spend for king size bedding set?

Lisa, I have a set now that has a maroon background with all cream and light green flowers and I got that Bed-in-a-Bag at JC Penney for $49. Then I went ahead and got the drapes to go with it. I have lace curtains under the drapes and I was looking now for something that was summery but that I could keep the drapes up. The bedding could lighten up the room without me having to shell out more $$$ for new drapes

Now thats my kind of bedding! No offense, but there is no way in heck I'd ever spend over $200 in bedding. There are so many different better things I could do with it....like saving it for when the sh*t hits the fan.

Maybe we need to start a "cheap bedding" thread. Our comforters usually come off of the 70% off the markdown clearance at Kohl's or an additional 40% off at Macy's. I don't think that we have spend $500.00 total in bedding in 10 years of marriage and we sleep just as well as everyone else.

I've never spent more than $90 on my bedding. I'm a big fan of bed-in-a-bag sets.

We're too hard on it, plus I always seem to get the remodeling urge every couple years. Buying new bedding is a lot easier on my marriage than asking DH to repaint the bedroom.
