I have heard a lot of people explain how the 12 years extra available at SSR would or would not effect them.

In daydreaming a bit, I imagined what it would be worth to me to really own a piece of WDW, that is, a membership that goes on for ever. True ownership, not an X number of year lease.

Think of the money that Mickey and the gang could get all at once! I would write out a check today for $25 for each of my 500 points.

SO COOL!!!!

I think they would require alot more money to even think about it - so if you put the price at $100 a point - who knows you might talk them into it.

I still think that if the economy is great in 2042 and Disney is not having a problem getting guest to stay in their hotels - then sorry you can probably forget the DVC.

If on the other hand the economy is like it is now and WDW is having to advertise and offer discounts to just about everyone - then I would expect DVC to give the current members a pretty good deal.

I don't think it will be worth that much to me. 2042 works just fine for me. I will be older than dirt in 2042 and my son will be older than I am now. Also, think of how old the resorts will be by then. Maintenance will be out the roof.

Just my opinion.

My husband and I did some rough math. We figured Disney is making about 4.5 Million on each unit at SSR.......
