How much would you budget?

Hey All! I really appreciate all the help you have given thus far. Now, I have everything planned out to get, stay, and play there; but not sure how much to set aside for daily perks and food. It will be myself and my wife and our 8y/o son for 6n7d. We both love to eat, and I want to sort of spoil my son, not sure how much longer I'll be around to do this. Funds are limited, but I want him to always remember this. (He's not an "I want this" type of kid). Sorry to make this so long, but this one is real important to me.
Thanks!
Jay

Before I signed up for the MYW plus dining package, I was going to save $100 for food for each day that we'd be there. This is for 2 adults 2kids. Also, we'll be taking 4-500 for souvenirs and 200 for gas.

Jay,
I would budget $100, but you said spoil....so I think $150 a day would cover it...even if you love to eat. Do a character meal or two(I like doing Chef Mickey at around 10:30...the buffet holds you until dinner time), and 1 show ( even if it is the Fantasmic where you buy your dinner and have reserved seats...he will feel a little VIP'ish) Again I like HDDR...my boys loved it Eating Ribs and Chicken(all you can eat)!!! Just don't do the both on the same day!!!

I personally think that getting a chance to spend time with you and your wife will really be a special treat...don't under estimate the value of your time in the pool and on rides together....it is worth way more than treats and souviners. I hope you have a wonderful time with your family. :cool1:

:( :( I'm sorry Jay :(

Welcome to the DIS. I think $100 per day is enough. Have a great vacation - your son will love it and you will too :)

Whenever we go we end up having about $1300 on our room charge. It's usually for about 9 days/8 nights. We figure it's about $125 a day and that includes some gifts. We try not to buy too many of those. Maybe a tee-shirt and some attraction photos. We also try to do one nice sit-down meal each day. It's myself, dh and dd, 11.
