How much will Dollar take as a credit card deposit at Orlando airport?

Hi guys

I booked the car rental through US rentacar and paid for gold insurance thinking we wouldn't have to leave a credit card deposit. (Only done Virgin fly drive before so never been an issue).

Anyway, I read through my agreement earlier and it says I will have to leave one. Does anyone know how much they will hold please? I've searched the web and the boards but can't find an answer

I did this in 2009 and didnt leave a credit card, inhave never left a creditbcard when with dollar and takingbthe full insurance, and neverbleft cash deposit

The last time we went we booked with Dollar through US Rentacar. I know that we never left a credit card deposit because we never actually took our credit cards with us.
Having said that though I can't remember if it was written into the terms and conditions that we were expected to.

hi when we went last year they swiped our visa card but no money was taken or held, hope this helps we also had the gold insurance and on another trip we only had normal insurance they swiped my visa debit card and again took no money or held any but on return of the car charged me for the tank of fuel as i didnt have the gold insurance which was $68 hope this helps

Ah thank you so much everyone. I have been worrying about this as we are right on the line with holiday money what with the wedding and everything. I really hoped they wouldn't hold onto half of my spends.
