How much WDW freedom do you get?

Do your parents let you go to different parts of the park from where you are? I'm 15 (I'll be 16 by my next trip) and my mom won't let me go to different rides or anything like that. I even have to stay in the same "room" as her and my family in that giant World of Disney store in Downtown Disney.

So, my question is, how much freedom do your parents give you in Disney World?

I perfer to stick with my family. It's way more fun and plus I got lost last month in Islands of Adventure and I hated it! Anyways, I wouldnt like to go off on my own. I just like spending time with them. Plus, I get more $$$$! LOL

My mom gives me and my sister money before we leave for the airport, so I don't have to worry about alwaysalwaysalways asking her, "Can I buy this??? Pleeease??" I just buy whatever.

But I'd like to go off on my own sometimes, especially in the Studios because I don't like Rock n Roller Coaster or Tower of Terror.. Yes.. I'm wussy.. But they make me wait on a bench or look in the giftshop at the end of the ride for 45 minutes until they're done. And it especially sucks if they want to ride more than once in a row. I think I should at the very least be able to say, "Okay, I'll be in this row of shops. Meet me here when you're done riding."

Is that super unreasonable? I mean, if it comes right down to it, I can take my cell phone.

P.S. I'm pretty sure I won't get kidnapped in the World. It's more secure than the mall in my city.

i really think you should be able to do that. your old enough and you would have your cell phone, i dont see why not ?!?!? talk to your parents about it you never know they might change their mind.

LOL! Ok, then I agree with you. And dont worry I'm a wussy too, sometimes. I'm afraid to go on the Hulk. I always make up excuses to my friends. I wanted to go this year but they dicthed me.

my mom could honestly careless. she knows i know the place inside and out backwards and forwards. shes buying a friend and i a hotel room and just dropping us off this month.

and i think youre old enough to be on your own. disney is safe enough, and theres always the cellphone. try talkin to your mom about it.

I prefer to be around my family when we go to Disney,
but sometimes if my family are sitting in a bar or something mum gives me and my brother these fast passes tickets and me and sam (my brother) go on a few rides around there
