How much walking from MK to Trails End?

My parents have mobility issues and this is a last minute trip to WDW. They walk slowly and short distances. There is only the Diamond Horseshoe available for lunch and I know they would love the food at Trails End. If it is too much walking it would be a deal breaker. I have only taken an Uber but an Uber for them is out of the question.

However, a nice boat ride wouldn't be bad and they wouldn't have to rush to a reservation. They are staying at the Contemporary and are planning on going back there after lunch to rest for the afternoon.

If they can walk from MK gates to the boat dock, they should be fine. The walk from the boat dock at Fort Wilderness to Trails End isn't any longer than that.
