How much trouble to split stay

We have always split our stays (we have 2 kids) and we love it. We have also traveled each time with either my sister's family or my parents. On "switch day", we send DH, BIL and the kids off to a park. My sister (or mom) and I get to our new resort early and check in, then we go shop and have lunch (a reward for all our hard work packing LOL). We meet up with the gang at our new resort around 3 and by then we are usually all settled - most times even unpacked! For me, 7 days in the same hotel room makes me nuts (even if it's a deluxe). We also plan our stays around two different parks (YC/BC then switch to GF or WL) so that our transportation is easier. We walk to Epcot and MGM from YC/BC and monorail to MK from GF. We do end up taking the bus to AK but that's it. Have fun - split stays are great!
