How much to spend for wedding gift???

Maybe he and the other co-workers who got the late invites could all chip in $5 toward a gift card.

i would do nothing either. Just because someone invites you to something does not obligate you to attend or to purchase a gift.

I probably wouldn't do anything. Is it normal to invite people you don't know to your wedding? We had friends and family there. Granted, I did not know all my DH's relatives, but he did. Seems odd to invite your parents' co-workers, but maybe that's normal...

Oh, how tacky! I might give them my best wishes if I ever saw them anywhere after the wedding, but that's all I'd be giving them.

How insulting!

I would have DH make a wedding card at work using highlighters and post-it notes and stuff it in an envelope and hand it to the groom-to-be! JK!

Seriously, I would not attend, but I would probably feel obligated to send a card (from the store:) Under the circumstances, and since you were most likely just included due to people who backed out at the last minute whose meals were paid for, I don't think a gift is required.
