We are looking at an older-8 yrs - very low mileage R v that cost $140k new
We are getting it for about 1/3 that- if we move forward
Paying cash
Do we insure for what it cost us?
That is a great question and is something you need to be aware of. Your policy should be for replacement cost, not what you paid for the coach. Get a quote from Good SAMs and then use it as a guideline to shop around. I have heard Progressive likes to write motor home policies as well. Check them out.

We've had Progressive Ins. on all three of our past mh's and they have come through claims we've had like champs! Not sure how they'd handle the 'value' issue for an older model - not sure if they'd do replacement cost, but one good way to find out - just give them a call. It may be like a car - current value (if totaled).
Depends on where you insure and with whom. When we had a used camper, the insurance was based on "book value".
FWIW, be sure to get multiple quotes, here in FL, Progressive was one of the highest compaies we were quoted.
