How Much $ to Bring for Tolls?

This will be our first trip renting a car. We will be flying in to Orlando, then will drive to an offsite hotel. We will also be driving to a beach (probably Coco) on 2 different days.

From what I read so far, I can't count on using a credit card at toll booths, right?

For a round trip to the airport, plus 2 beach trips, about how many quarters should I bring with me? Would 1 roll ($10) be enough? 2 rolls?

Thanks!

All mainline toll plazas give change. You only need quarters in case you take an exit ramp that has no attendant. The only one you're likely to hit is the Osceola Pkwy. exit off 417, if you choose to enter WDW that way. $10 should be more than enough for that. Even if you make a couple of shopping trips that involve exit tolls, $10 should cover it.

We always bring $10 in quarters and we always ask for a receipts, being that 50% of the time we get a notice a month later that we breezed through a toll plaza instead of paying. We always call and dispute and one time...I asked what toll plazas they were and it was in MIAMI!! So yeah, be careful with that. Last time we were there, we had to make a couple of runs around town, through tolls, and actually ran out of quarters for our trip home. The toll plaza was not manned and only took exact change. We literally had to stand to the side and ask a stopped car for change.

But if you were getting receipts, you didn't need to use quarters!

Moral: don't use your last $2 of quarters; take them home with you, unless you absolutely need to use them.
