How much time to MK from Formosa Gardens?

We want to try to get to the park before it opens (but not necessarily to see Rope Drop). It opens at 9:00. How much time should we allow?

We stayed in Sunset Lakes and it took us less then 15min to get to the MK parking lot. Remember you have to take a monarail or boat to the actual entrance of MK. That takes more time.

About how much time from parking lot to monorail to entrance?

We allowed 45 minutes to get to rope drop from Windsor Hills. It would be the same from Formosa Gardens. We just made it to the bag check when the train was coming in with the characters.

We allowed 1 hr from vacation house at Sunset Lakes to main entrance for rope drop. The later you are and have to park far away you have to take a tram (or a long walk) to the monarail or boat to go to the main entrance.

Is Rope Drop right when the park opens? I have read about people wanting to get to the Rope Drop area 30 minutes or more before that starts. Why is that? I guess I don't completely understand the whole process.
