how much time to get from LMA to BC?

Thinking of doing Cape May Cafe at Beach Club after our HS day. If we end the day with the 4:30 LMA (33 minutes), how long would you allow to walk to the boat and take it to BC? ~45 minutes?, so a 6:00 ADR? TIA.

I think 45 minutes is a pretty fair time budget, from the time you're at the dock to walking into Cape May. However, keep in mind LMA is kind of in the back of DHS, so I'd allow another 10 minutes or so to get from there to the boat dock. Sometimes the boat trip can be shorter if there's a boat at the dock when you get there.

If you are running a little short of time, and you don't see a boat heading to the dock to pick you up, you can walk to BC from there in about 10-15 minutes at a normal pace. The boats are great, but not fast and they stop at Swan/Dolphin, Boardwalk and YC/BC en route to EPCOT.

Okay, thanks! I'd rather get there early than feel rushed, so I'll add some extra time. Thanks for your help.

As pp stated, if you don't see a boat heading to the dock or docking it is faster to walk. We always walk to and from the BW or BC and find it faster than the boat. The boat will stop at S/D first and then head to Y/BC.

Maybe we should just plan on walking and taking the boat back when we're not in a hurry. We stayed at BWV our first trip and did that walk exactly ONCE; it was 100 degrees and we felt like fried eggs on the sidewalk, I thought we would never get there! Hopefully it won't feel so hot in April and we don't have to push a stroller anymore. I remember being really frustrated by how slow the boats were, but everything seems slower when you're in a hurry so I had no idea how long they took in "real time"... Thanks for your input!

Sounds like a good plan. But keep in mind that as you exit DHS you can see the dock area pretty easily and the walking path on the opposite side of the canal. You can see at that time if a boat is heading toward the dock (or is already there) and determine if it's better to just walk at that time. If a boat is right there, the time to take the boat may not be much slower than walking, and is a nice way to rest a little bit. I've never actually done that walk, as we always get on the boat after we're exhausted and hot from walking around EPCOT or DHS all day.
