How much time is needed?

I know that when we do go to disney we won't be able to do and see everything all at once. I would also like to check out universal studios. How many days do you think we will need to see disney and universal? We probably won't do any water parks while we are there. Would 9 days/8 nights be enough time? Any thoughts on this?!

We are on trip number twelve in June and haven't been to Universal or Sea World yet, only WDW. We will go to Sea World this trip, though. We've never had enough time to do all of Disney yet. But, if you only spend a day or two at US, you should be able to see most of it in the time you have.

I would say you have enough time to do all you want to do and still a little room to relax and spend some time at the hotel you are staying at.

If you spend one full day at each park that would be six days, so this leaves you room to go back and do your favorites or see a parade/show you may have missed the first time!

Enjoy!

Welcome to the Dis Sheila Rose.

I think you should have enough time to get it all in. Just remember to take some time and relax along the way so that you won't have aching feet and grouchy family members. Have a wonderful time!

If you're doing Universal...my advice to you is stay at one of the Universal hotel. You get the benifit of FOTL- front of the line. It's like Fast pass...but even better...no need to print out any tickets...you just show your hotel key card and you go straight to the ride without standing in line with the rest. The max I have waited in Express line was 10-15 minutes and this was during Easter week! You will be able to do everything you want within 3 days if you have FOTL access.

We are doing just that...4 nights at RPR Universal and then 5 nights at ASSp Disney. This will give us definitely enough time to enjoy the resort at Universal. OR do 3/6.

DH and I went for a 11 day/10 night and were able to do the Universal and IOF in two days and the rest of the Disney parks w/o a dull moment (we even skipped AK last time - going this time - in 5 days!!). Good luck and have fun planning!

You should be able to do a lot without really rushing. You do need to realize doing and seeing it all would be more in terms of weeks, or even months, and not days.

We've got close to 200 days logged in since 1986 without even leaving WDW property and there are still things we haven't seen or done. Of course, we see many favorites again each time we go back, but there's always something new and something changed. We simply have something to look forward to in the future. We also do not rush anymore. You'd be surprised how different it is when you take your time.

Basically, you need a day each at the Magic Kingdom, Disney Studios, and Animal Kingdom and two days at Epcot for all the basics. That should leave you plenty of time to see other things, relax a bit and still have some time to go back to a few of the parks for things you missed.

Hope you have a wonderful trip!

In our experience you need at least 1 day in each of the major parks. that would be six full days to hit everything once. that gives you 3 days to go back to your favorites. you probably will not see everything in one trip, but, 9 days will give you plenty of a start.
