How much time is needed for US/IOA?

So we just decided to go back to Disney next fall! However, my two older boys (who will be 6 and 8) LOVE Harry Potter and have seen all of the movies several times. So needless to say, on our 4 night/5 day trip, one of those days will be spent at Universal Studios Island of Adventure instead of a Disney Park.

Given their age, how long would you think it would take us to tour Harry Potter and ride some of the other rides like Spiderman and Cat in the Hat? Could we possibly go to Epcot afterwards for dinner?

There is just no way of knowing how long it's going to take you to see WWoHP. It depends on when you're going and what day of the week but if you're looking at next fall, the crowds should have calmed down some. I would allow a full day for each park even in the fall especially if they've never been there before. There is too much to see and do to rush through it.

I agree. We have done both parks in one day (prior to Harry Potter)
but that was after several years of doing each park individually.
I would def do one park per day. Theres so much to see/do it might
overwhelm them to try to squeeze it all in.
I know after spending the entire day there, my kids are pretty wiped
out (ages 8 & 10) so I wouldn't suggest heading to Epcot afterwards.
But that just me
