How much time for first time?

Three full days with park hoppers. One day in DL the first day and then hop between the parks the other two days.

You could do a fourth day the first night to walk down main street and see the fireworks. Perhaps ride Astroblasters or pirates.

Thanks.
We don't have any in and out burgers so I know my girls want to try it. For a New Yorker it's a big thing.

I have to update my girls age. The trip is an early 11 birthday present since they turn 11 ten days after we get home.
Being a New Yorker, I've also fit in In and Out burgers, too! I'm trying to fit in Carl Jrs and Marie Callendars as well! :rotfl2:

Going against the grain, I don't necessarily think it's a good idea to just dismiss what your DH wants to do. If he wants to not have a 100% Disney focused trip, that's just as right as you wanting to have a 100% Disney focused trip. Can you easily do 3 full days at Disneyland? Sure. But you can also do 2 full days at Disneyland and do something else the other day. You'll still have fun. If your DH really wants to do Universal or something else, you could definitely do that.

Universal and Disneyland are pretty far away from each other, so if you're staying in Anaheim you need to plan against traffic well. You could also stay in LA for the first night and do Hollywood/Universal that night and the next day, then go down to Anaheim for the next two. Just another perspective. I love Disney, but I understand that not everyone is as into it as I am and there is an importance to do other things.
