We usually don't go for as many days as most of you all. My kids (and husband if he's coming) also don't have the stamina to go many, many hours per day in any of the parks. We usually do one park per day, go back to the hotel after lunch, rest and swim then go back to whichever park we are having dinner in. If we feel up to it, we tour some more after we eat. When we came in the fall and the parks closed early, then we would tour longer in the afternoon and have a short rest. It's a tradition that we go to Typhoon Lagoon on the day we fly home, we usually get an early evening flight and stay there until 3 or so. This is my kids favorite park!

My kids love the parks, but they care just as much about the cool pools, hubby likes it all but feels no 'magic' so I have to think about all that.

My DH and I have been to WDW twice, but we are taking the kids for their 1st trip in a couple of weeks (they are DS7 and DD9 - not too far off yours!). Here is how we plan to break it down.

Arrival evening - ADR at 1900 PF - then to DTD for a couple of hours

Day 1 - Epcot WS from AM EMH open to Illuminations close (we will actually start off with some of the FW stuff that opens early, then move to WS as soon as it opens)

Day 2 - AK from open till done. They have PM EMH that day, but will probably leave and go to DTD for a few hours that evening.

Day 3 - MK from AM EMH to close after Wishes. Will probably concentrate most of this day on shows, characters, parades, etc if the weather is nice since we will be back on other days. I'd hate to skip a parade the 1st day if it's nice out, then have them cancelled the other days due to weather or something. We'll do rides too, but Cinderellabration and Mickey's country house are closing during our stay, so we gotta make sure and catch those!

Day 4 - Epcot FW. Will get there after opening due to ADR and 1900 PF for breakfast, but will spend the day mostly in FW unless there are any street acts in WS that we missed the 1st day that we want to try and catch.

Day 5 - MGM for a few hours in the AM for EMH. Lunch at 50's prime time then back to hotel to rest/hit the pool. HDDR and Electric Water Pageant that night at FW

Day 6 - Typhoon Lagoon till we're done. Then over to MK if time for PM EMH till we get tired or they close!

Day 7 - MGM from open to Fantasmic close

Day 8 - Blizzard Beach from open till we are done - then to Disney Quest.

Day 9 & 10 will split between the 4 parks re-doing favorites. Left ADR's open for these days as our TS credits will all be used up (CRT and HDDR take 2 each), so we can wing it. Each day has 1 EMH, so will probably factor that into where we go and when but will probably go Day 9 am AK/pm MK and Day 10 am MGM/pm Epcot. That will change if there were fireworks or parades/ entertainers that were rained out on earlier visits that we want to see.

We have made all our ADR's so we don't have to do a lot of park hopping to eat. If we don't need a lot of time for re-do's at the end, we may try and catch the campfire and movie at FW one of those last 2 nights.

Day 11 - Depart early am for trip home :sad2: I'm missing it already and I haven't even gotten there yet!!

Thank you to all that voted on this poll.
Now that I am back, I can vote!!
From our experience, this is what we needed for our first trip:

MK-2 days
MGM-2 days
AK-1 day
Epcot-2 days
TL-1 day
BB-1 day.

But when we go back, we will probably need less, more like:
MK-1.5 days
MGM-1 day
AK-.5 day
Epcot-1.5 days
TL-.5 day
BB-.5 day

Especially if you use EMH at the waterparks, you can be all done by 1pm.

We did get to see alot-almost everything. There are a few things we missed, due to the weather (Cinderellabration, 3:00 parade)

We also did hop from AK to MGM to MK in one day....
Because EE was closed the day we were at AK, so we had to go there to do that. So we went there from 930-1100, then to MGM for lunch at 50sPT at 1215, stayed until about 3, then to the room for a rest until 5, then to MK for the rest of the day.
It really didn't take that long to get from place to place.

It was great!

When you say 2 days at Epcot, is that one day at World Showcase and one day at Future World?
Or does one require more time then the other?
thanx!

Generally I would try to do half of each on both days...

For instance: Day one might consist of (using Fastpasses and stuff where applicable...not necessarily this order): Spaceship Earth, Ellen's Energy Adventure, Soarin' (which should be done as early as possible), Listen to the Land, Journey into Imagination with Figment and Honey I Shrunk the Kids...

...followed by Canada, England, France, Morrocco, Japan.

Day Two could then consist of: The Living Seas, Mission Space, Test Track, Innoventions...

...followed by Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, American Adventure.

(your mileage may vary. I do recommend doing Mexico and Norway on the second day with children (or even adult first-timers)...this way they don't expect rides in the rest of the countries (which they might if they do them first)).

If it helps, we are two adults going October 19 to the 25th...

this is how I mapped it out for us...

Day one - Epcot (pretty much following what I wrote above)

Day Two - AK in about half a day (I've never been in that park later than 2pm...you're mileage may vary since you have children). Pretty much hitting Everest, Safari, Gorillas, Tigers, Dinosaur! and Tough To be a Bug and we're outta there...then hopping over to MGM, riding ToT and RRC a couple of times and catching a show or two before our dinner and Fantasmic!

Day Three - a full day at MK

Day Four - MGM for about half a day (totalling a full day) finishing whatever we didn't get to on Day Two. Then hopping over to Epcot for dinner (and maybe a couple of attractions in Future World depending on time) and Pleasure Island for Adventurer's Club that night (and for the next two nights, too).

Day Five - Epcot again for another full day - we can slow down in Innoventions and really enjoy Living Seas in the morning when the crowds are heading for Fast Pass attractions like Test Track and Living Seas. We can take our time enjoying the performers throughout World Showcase, too (and eating around the world at Food/Wine).

Day Six - MK in the morning for shopping on Main Street while everyone is hopping on the mountains and other fast pass attractions...then hop over to Downtown Disney...this is our last full day and we'll have a better grasp on who we still have to buy souvenirs for...then probably back to MK for the late afternoon/early evening to play and re-do favorites before hopping over to Adventurer's Club.

Day Seven - our last day is a half day since we leave in the mid-afternoon...
ToT and RRC at MGM in the early morning, then straight to Epcot for a last ride on Mission: Space and Soarin' before we catch lunch and head back to the airport...
