Get ready to make FP+ choices and our MK plan of action. I know this will depend on avilability but how much time inbetween your FP+ choices do they normally give you?

I've been wondering about this too. I know I want to make our selections for the afternoons, but unsure about how much time to leave between them, and what Disney is likely to give me to begin with.

my problem exactly. Unfortunitly it appears Disney does not give you a choice but to have you entire day plan. No more spontanity!!!!!

Once you pick one of the 4 plans for the day presented to you, you can go back in and change the time of each individual FP+.

I'm trying to think of it that if I only have my FP for the afternoon, then I have a completely spontaneous morning :)

yes true. I still will be driven by which will be the best rides to do at RD and which would be best to do after that until our lunch.

I like the idea of saving FP+ for the afternoon, since the lines are longer by then.

What plans? do you tell them your 3 choices and then they give you four options to choose from? Once you try to change the times do they give you several times to choose or can you put in a time you would like and it would tell you if it is avaliable?

Yes. You tell them your choices and it gives you 4 alternative plans that include those choices.

Then yes, once you try to change an item time it gives you available times to change to.

There is a 1 hour window for each FP+. When I changed some at Concierge they were able to give me half hour windows (which you may actually need all of since the FP+ line has taken us up to 20 minutes to get through)

the way it works now, you choose your 3 priorities and it will give you 4 different options, some not including all of your priorities. Choose the one that gives you all of the rides you want. Then you can go back and individually change the times for each. In my experience, their options usually spread all of the attractions out throughout the day. I have yet to keep any of the times they gave me -- I've had to change the times for every FP+ we chose.

That said, I think they'll change the system since it doesn't work well this way. And it takes too long to set them up while in the parks because you have a limited amount of time on the wifi -- not sure whether it times out or it drops you because of limited band width.

There was no problem with availability in MK, at least one day in advance. That may also change when offsite guests start booking in advance.

Thanks for asking this. This was one of my main questions about fastpasses. And also how are you choices presented to you. So all of this has been answered. Would love to hear others thoughts and advice on this topic too. Btw, from everything I've read most are saying book them for the afternoon and evening. Do rd and standby in mornings and other lines while the parks are not as crowded.

When you pick your 3 choices, the system will give you 3-4 different options on the times you want. When you choose the option, if you don't like a certain time, you can go into each individually and change it to another time.

They seem to give you a good amount of time between FP+ times.

For example, on my Hollywood Studios day, I got Toy Story Mania at 4:05-5:05, Disney Junior Live at 5:20-5:35 and Voyage of the Little Mermaid at 6:10-6:20. If you get to the attraction at the start of your FP+ window I think you'd be ok.

Animal Kingdom day I have Finding Nemo at 10:30-10:50, Meet Disney Pals at 12:10-1:10 and the Safari at 1:40-2:40.

Magic Kingdom I had Dumbo at 2:05-3:05, Winnie the Pooh 4:05-5:05 and Meet Mickey at Towne Square 7:55-8:55. I didn't want the Meet Mickey that late, so I ended up changing it to 11:05-12:05. Then decided to change Winnie to meeting Cinderella and chose the Cinderella meet to 3:55-4:55.

Epcot day is Turtle Talk with Crush 3:00-4:00, The Seas with Nemo 4:00-5:00 and Meet Disney Pals 5:15-6:15.

BTW, we have small kids, so we don't have the most popular rides in the park, but I didn't have any trouble getting TSM.

For each of the 4 choices, the system generally offers three times within about four hours, so two might be consecutive and the third might have a gap of 30 or 45 minutes. After you make your selection, you can then move things around. The system doesn't allow overlaps, but you can make your times consecutive.
