How much time at Ohana

We would like to watch the fireworks from the beach after we eat dinner at Obama. Is 1.5 hours enough time to eat then get to the beach?

Ohana is tough because you have little control over how fast they are and they can have delays if you're waiting for one specific meat (e.g. shrimp).

I'd probably bump it to 2 just to cover late seating.

Thanks! Is there a viewing area near the restaurant? I've never been to the Poly? Our daughter is 3 and afraid of fireworks so I figure this is the only way I'm going to get to see them.

Even with ADRs you may still have a significant wait before being seated. We were fortunate to have a table by a window, but the windows were so fogged up with condensation that you couldn't appreciate it. You should be able to see from the beach after dinner.

I'd allow two hours unless you ask them to bring items faster. Maybe with a 3 year old, that might be better if your meal is later in the evening.

We took our DS in January 2016 at age 3.5, and again in December 2016 at age 4.5, and the meal was too long for him. First time, he got super cranky so we skipped the dessert. Second time, he fell asleep on the bench seat. Both times, we were seated within 15-25 min of our ADR which wasn't bad considering how late I've heard it could be. It just took a while for them to bring all the food around.

Once you're done, it's easy to get to the beach from 'Ohana...just go to the first floor of the GCH and exit out the back or side doors; head in the direction of the lagoon and you'll find the beach.

Thanks for the suggestion. I hadn't considered her attention span.
