How much taxi fare from MCO around 20 miles?

I'm having a hard time getting a good rate on a rental car for my party of 5 in August 2009. We fit just fine in a mid-size rental car without luggage, but we're not sure if our luggage will fit on the days we arrive and leave Orlando. I was thinking about renting a mid-size or compact car and having others tak a taxi to and from the MCO airport just to accommodate the extra luggage. The cost savings is between $140 and $250 if I were to downgrade from a minivan.

So.... does anyone know how much taxi fare is from MCO to our hotel which is around 18-20 miles away? I'm trying to determine if going this route is worth the hassle.

(Sorry for sounding cheap, but economic times are tough and I would rather spend the extra savings on my daughter in WDW. Thanks again.)

Is there a reason you're not considering using ME? It's free and you wouldn't have to worry about luggage.

I forgot to mention that our current plans is to stay off site, not at a Disney resort, so ME wouldn't apply to us.
