It's very easy to overspend the budget when every single attraction empties into a gift shop. When the kids were younger, we would take a picture of the item they wanted. Then we would go back at the end of our trip to purchase the item. It gave them time to consider the purchase and compare the different things that they could get for their money. Sometimes, that shiny object that they wanted so badly at the moment loses its appeal over time.My DH and I are taking my niece (8) and nephew (9) to Disney in May, and in figuring out our budget, I was trying to think about how much spending money we should give them. This will be their very first trip, and while I don't want them to go overboard buying things they won't ever use again, I do want them to be able to spend money on things that they really want...and I have to consider the fact that Disney souveniers can sometimes be expensive. So, how much do you usually budget for your children?? Thanks in advance!!![]()
