We are leaving on the 29th and coming home on Dec 5. (6 nights 7 days). We are on the dining plan, there is me, dh, dd5, ds3. This is our first time in the world but I dont really don't want to buy a lot over overpriced souvies. I plan to send down snacks and breakfast items before we leave. I have the single serve lemonade packets to put in our water at the parks and we plan to get the mugs at the resort (pop).

How do you figure out how much spending money to bring/have available? A few checks I have been waiting on have been delayed so I am trying to scrape up the money incase they aren't here on time, I am hoping they are.

Thanks! :goodvibes

23 days to go! :cool1:

We don't spend much on souvenirs (and usually shop for the few souvenirs we buy at the Belz Outlet Mall) and we usually average about $75 a day for a family of 5 but this covers our meals. Since you have the dining plan, I would think you could get by on $25 a day spending $$ (and still have some left over). One thing to remember is that parking at the parks is $9 so I'd definitely take the bus if staying on property. Have a great trip!

Parking is free for all onsite guests, so the parking fee should be of no concern if you have a car.

I would set a souvenir budget for each person and limit them to that amount for the entire trip rather than setting a daily souvenir amount.

Since you're sending down snacks and breakfast items, there shouldn't be too much more to spend your money on. A few Mickey Bars and Dole Whips and maybe a turkey leg if you just can't resist. $10/person per day should be more than enough to cover any snacks that aren't part of the dining plan.

Don't forget tip money for skycaps, bus drivers, bellhops and mousekeeping. The standard is $1-$2/bag for skycaps and bellhops, $1/bag for bus drivers and $1-$2/person per day for mousekeeping.

I always keep an extra $100 in emergency money for anything that I forgot to bring or anything that I need to buy at the last minute.
