We have booked a surprise holiday trip, so my son has not had the opportunity to save his own spending money as he has on previous trips. He did get a $15 dollar gift card in a birthday card last month for Disney, and I was thinking of getting him another $50. Does $65 sound okay for a 10 year old boy? Mostly he likes to spend his own money on pins for his lanyard or something of that sort.
Any opinions?

How many days? LOL! Just kidding!

If that is what has taken the last few thimes I'm sure he will be fine. In fact, I think he will be stoked to be in Disney and to have any spending $ is awesome :)

We are only going for 5 days as this was a last minute trip. He has no idea we are even going (he thinks we are going next September). How much does anyone else give their kids to spend while on vacation @ WDW.

As long as you cover snacks and maybe a t shirt, I think that is plenty.

$65 seems like a good amount for 5 days as long as you cover snacks and other incidentials

Your amounts sound fine to me and on par with what we would do.

If he is into legos, that would still get him a pretty cool set. That is unless he wanted other souvenirs. But he is at that age where he is old enough to plan his spending budget accordingly.

I think that amount is fine. My DD is 10 and I give her $10-$15 a day for spending money on our trips. She usually waits until almost the last day to make her purchases just in case she finds something she really likes.

I believe it's plenty. We always wait until our last day to buy a souvie, unless it's something you can't find easily. This way your are sure about your purchase and don't go over board.

Have a great time, I would love to go & see the decor!
