We've had quite a bit more tis afternoon, took the girls out with the sledge but it was coming at us in the face so much we decided to come in.
I think tomorrow will be a big problem here as the temps are due to drop really low

My work is also closed tomorrow. I went out to buy some milk from the local co-op earlier (only whole left, i'll just have to deal I guess! ) and the roads are still thick with ice. If I was in work i'd definitely be getting the train instead!

Well, it has finally stopped snowing here but it is freezing fast. My Tesco delivery has not yet turned up but that doesn't really surprise me, the roads must be pretty bad again now.

My school was closed yesterday and today (my days off) and is open tomorrow - which is when I work. I am not happy about that! It's going to be worse driving tomorrow because the snow will be compact and icy. I just know that certain members of staff will not turn up and loads of the kids won't come in - what a waste of time. *sigh*

well left work at 3.10 and it took me almost 1 1/2 hours to do a journey that on a normal day would take 20 mins, at the moment we are still open tomorrow, although if that is the case then I am going on the bus. DS training has been cancelled tonight and tomorrow morning - a whole day without swimming oh no, but on a plus note he heard today that he has 2 conditional offers from Loughborough uni for both the courses that he would like to do (I knew that not many mad people would want to do a masters in either pure or applied maths!!!!!!!) really pleased for him and he has wanted to go to Loughborough forever, we are of there next weekend for a tall and talented rio 2016 assessment day

I love the snow but the roads are getting very dangerous. So sorry about all those peoples' flights - what a nightmare.

We have had a fair bit this afternoon/evening. The roads are thick. I went to pick my mum up from work incase she had problems with her car. My car handled the snow like it was a dry day, definately won't be changing it till the snow goes now

Really not impressed the head has refused to close our school today - so just arrived at work, took me almost an hour and it normally takes 20 mins. Of the 11 secondry schools in the borough we are the only one open!! Oh but we can leave 15 mins earlier, which we did yesterday and it took me an hour an a half to get home - oh and its just started snowing again. I bet not all the kids will come in!!!!!!

Fortunately we've had no more snow since yesterday afternoon but temperatures dipped to -9 here overnight so everything is frozen solid this morning. Schools are closed across the county again so I'm 'working from home'

Our school (where I work) is shut today. The paths are covered with ice. I should be going on a class outing to the panto this afternoon but looks like that's off too.

DD's school is open and I have been out and about this morning, our clu-de-sac is terrible for driving and walking as the gritter lorries don't make it down here once we get out of our road though it's fine.
I went to the gym but my bag had been in the car since yesterday, needless to say putting on my stiff freeeeezing cold kit made get going on the bike

Got stuck at my Mums last night as My Dad and Bro had to abandon there cars.

I decided to walk home from my Mums this morning (It took me just over a hour) without Kyra as I needed to top up the electric key at home otherwise my freezer would of defrosted But i feel like a awful mother for leaving Kyra behind. I hope my Dad or Brother can get her back to me tomorrow.
