How much snail mail do you throw out?

Just tossed about 6 pieces of mail into the trash. I generally throw out at least 1 or 2 pieces a day. How about you?

Think of all those trees...

LOTS!! I fill a 33 gallon garbage can about every 3-4 weeks
Then it goes to recycle.

I bet at least 2/3 of all we get.

Almost everything. Even the magazines - after I look through them.

Most of it. I get a bunch of junk at work. I always sort the mail right by the trash can.

I keep about 1/5, maybe less, of the mail we get. I have made myself start opening more stuff, though, without just throwing it away. I got a check the other day in an envelope that looked like an advertisement, and I came incredibly close to tossing it without opening it. Now I open anything that doesn't actually have an interest rate written on the envelope, even if I know it's junk.

Most of the mail we get is junk mail.

I think I could wallpaper a small room per month with how much we get
Some credit cards don't give up they can't seem to stop sending pre approvals for credit cards.
If the mood stikes you - you can stuff some other junk mail in their postage paid envelope and send it back so they know how it feels to get junk.
