We had to cancel our May 2020 trip and will have to cancel our December 2020 trip due to the pandemic.
We are considering a trip either last week in May or during the first two weeks of June. I know it'll be hot as we've gone in August but can anyone tell me about the rain?
I don't mind the afternoon thunderstorms as we've had those in August but don't want to go if it'll be an all day rainy weather thing. I know that you just never really know about weather but what are people's experiences?

I went during the last week of May a few years back , and I don't remember it raining at all. The might or might not be typical.

We went for 10 days in the middle of June in 2018. We had daily afternoon/early evening thunderstorms but it never rained all day, usually only for 30-90 minutes.

End of May, first of June is the beginning or our rainy season. Just like anyplace else there are times when it rains all day but others are correct, you can expect daily showers starting between 1:00pm-ish to 3:30-ish. Our weather can change in 15 to 30 minutes. Bring a poncho and you'll be fine as far as the water part. Lightening is your biggest worry as far as the parks go as it closes rides and water activities.

We go early June every year (except this year obviously) and it’s never been a huge issue. Just afternoon thundershowers for 15-30 mins. You can nearly set your watch with them. However, they definitely wouldn’t ruin a trip.

We normally go the second week of June, and most of the time, it's just normal afternoon thundershower each day; however, one year, it rained and rained and rained. We were at Universal and Legoland that year, and the crowd levels were amazing because it was rainy. Lots of walk on rides, and enough dry periods to get the outdoor rides in. There was one day that week that it just bucketed down though, and then we drove through hours of rain where the interstate traffic was below 50 mph on Friday going home. I saw lots of disappointed families at our condo complex.

We've gone twice in May. Once it rained all day for 4 of the days we were there (driving, sideways rain). The other time it rained hardly at all.
