How much of a pain in the **** is it to get from a onsite hotel to the car rental place at disney??? We may only need a car for a couple days so may just rent it when we need it......Thoughts on this??

Shouldnt be too painful at all. Take the bus to the Swan, Alamo has a desk there.. Or, check with the Disney partner hotels at Downtown Disney.. one of them has a budget (?) desk in them Not sure which hotel or agency.. read it on a web site someplace. Hmmm.. just checked the websites for the hotels, no mention of rental desk. Must have been on the car rental sites :D

We rented a car from National last summer. It was not difficult to do at all; the shuttle picked DH up and took him to the Car Care Center and then when we returned the car, the shuttle took us back to OKW. Just call the Car Care Center ahead of time to arrange a shuttle. I did make the reservation for the vehicle ahead of time on the internet.

We have rented twice from Budget at the Doubletree on Hotel Blvd. They come to get you in a little van. It's a small place, so never a wait. Last year we went to get a sensible mid-size car later in the day. Almost all they had left was a red Mustang, which became the highlight of our trip! It's in many of our photos! When you return the car they will take you back to your hotel. But to save a step in the process, we went to the airport from there. Our airport transportation picked us up there, even tho it wasn't where they had left us off!
