AND... if the cruise opens up for booking while I am on the Wonder will I be able to book it onboard? We would be paying cash for it, not points.

I am very happy they gave us the dates way ahead of time, but now I fear they will spring the booking date on us...

but now that I think about it, they did send out a mailing before it opened for booking.... right??

Yes. I remember getting a mailing telling us about the member cruise and the special booking period. You might remember that the "booking day" for the 2005 Member cruise was on a Saturday, and that the cruise was the only thing you could book during that special time. IIRC, the cruise sold out in just a few hours. I'm betting that they will do it like that again.

Best wishes -

Ok... I called MS, and selected booking a cruise option, and started asking questions! LOL

First, MS said that the cruise cant be booked until 11 months out. Sooooooo no worries for me about booking on board.

Second, they will give us plenty of notice and she suspects it will be the same deal as last time... Saturday booking.

(Just noticed Carols reply! THanks! LOL)

Unless you live in Canada :teeth: :teeth:

Where we never get mailings until *after* the event has come and gone!!

We got the DVC Cruise mailer last year, and DH says:
"Oh...we should look into doing this...wait a minute, we were supposed to book it 2 months ago??"

(Honey, we don't have enough points, but thanks for the thought, anyway :love2: )

A very good reason to frequent the DIS DVC Boards - where we find out things before the mailers are even printed!!

Best wishes -

You might want to pass this info back to Jim Hill at DVC. In his members cruise presentation he made a point of mailings to international locations goes out earlier then the US mailings so they should all arrive around the same time.

Really?...

Everything we get from DVC is really delayed...even our dues notice wasn't received last year until after the first of February. I've always called just after I see everyone posting about recieving the notices, and pay it over the phone:)

MS always says, in response to my voicing concern over the delay, that they will "pass it along"...

We'll send a note to Mr. Hill this year, too:)

Thaks RAD, for the FYI!!:)
