How much more will I pay for a four day park hopper?

I'm going to WDW in May, and wasn't planning on spending the $ on tickets yet, (holidays and all). But the new system confuses me and I'm thinking that I may have to move my plans up. How much more will I be spending by waiting for May to get a 4 day park hopper?

We're going in late March and weren't planning to buy our tickets yet either. But after running #s, it was a clear decision to buy the 4-day PHPs from Hotwire. This is our first trip and to boot it's during the busy Easter/Spring break time, so we definitely want to have the option to park hop.

All prices include tax.

PHP: Adult = $208.96; child = $167.75

MYW: Adult = $197.03 +$35(hopper add-on); child = $157.62+$35

So, for our family of four, we saved $100 and our tickets never expire and we got a plus day on each ticket. FYI, didn't even include the additional $15 per person charge for the no expiration option in the MYW price.

OK, lets break it down. The ticket price on a 4 day hopper right now is $233, that includes tax. The new ticket base price for a 4 day, non hopper ticket is $185. To add the hopper option will cost an extra $35 per ticket, and to add the "never expires" option will cost you an extre $15. OK, lets do the math... you will be spending $235 plus tax for a 4 day park hopper. Tax in Orange County is 6.5%. If you want to do the premium pass which would include your 4 day pass with hopper option and magic plus (giving you 3 plus options to include the choices of Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, Disney Quest or Pleasure Island, that price would be $265 and to add on the "never expires" option would cost an extra $15, so $280. This is really the value, as you get your 4 hopper days, plus basically 3 visits to the above mentioned attractions.

For you, If you aren't interested in the plus option it would be a bit cheaper to buy the pass now. You may do so at either The Disney Store, or online at www.disneyworld.com.
