I am in Disneyland right now and I was yesterday. I found a payphone to call DCL after the announcement yesterday. I tried for an hour then was on hold for 1/2 hour. I asked for the 14 day CA to FL and was quoted $5421.78. Then I asked about the 10% for transfering. She plugged in my ressie # and came up with $3476.16. I said "BOOK IT"! We were so excited. She faxed a confirmation to my home (but I'm not there).
I got the rate from DU of $5770.78 and just kinda laughed to myself, but kept the e-mail. This morning I checked my ressie on DCL's website and to my surprise, I was now going in May on a 7 day!!!!
I called DCL and they said they couldn't recreate the conversation or the quote and all catagory 7's were gone. Catagory 5's were now going to be $6100. I can't do that! I had to book a cat 8 for $5067.78 with the discount which was more than my original cat 7 would have been.
I asked if I could get the rate for a catagory 8 at noon yesterday when I called and he said there was no way to find out what the rate was. I'm out of luck. I've e-mailed DCL and I'm waiting to hear back from DU (they told me to e-mail my agent at my e-mail address
).
I'm afraid to transfer to DU because then DCL won't do anything about this mixup, but what if nothing happens before 5/9 when my deposit would be due with DU?
And all I want to do is have fun in Disneyland
