Hi. Typically, how much more do people pay on AP rate for a concierge vs. a regular room?

We are ending a trip next APril with 2 nights at the AAKL, and I thought that concierge + a sunrise or sunset safari might be a nice surprise for my family. Since its just 2 nights, I thought I could spend $75 per night or so more (I'm spending so much on this trip anyway, what's another few bucks, right?) Am I in the ballpark?

Thanks, Dobe

Thanks.

Concirge level has never been worth it for me at Disney. Unlike *every* other place I've been, they don't have cocktails, and they don't have a large selection of food in the lounge. The separate concierge who is there to attend you isn't much more effective than the one in the lobby.

But I'm sure you'll have other people here who say it is worth it for the room location.

Hi Dobie - about the AP discounts - This past year instead of offering a "percent-off" discount, Disney went with something along the lines of "$80 off" your Deluxe room rate --- so if Disney follows the same pattern for next year, then Concierge would be $170 to $185 more than a savannah view room (depending on whether you were going in Reg. or peak season). The Sunrise safari was about $50 / person; the wayanama safari is about $150 per person (they have age limits on this, but have changed it recently - used to be over 18, then it was over 16 yo, and I'm not sure what it is now)......Sorry to be the bearer of bad news........By the way - you can get historical discount info (and rack room rates) from www.mousesavers.com

Well, my husband and I were the very lucky recipients of the infamous postcard code about one month ago. We first booked AKL concierge for $375 per night. (This is at postcard discount) Then, I was told by doctor to go on a fast to lose some pounds. So I immediately changed our ressies to savannah view rooms for $166 per night. BIG, BIG difference, and I figured if I can't eat, then I sure am not going to pay an extra $200 per night for someone to dial WDW-DINE to make my PS ressies.

I think the AP prices are close to the postcard code prices so you have some comparison for this year's prices.

It is around $100 difference if you are looking at a deluxe SV room. We are a family of five and need a deluxe room. We feel it is well worth the $$ to upgrade. For peak season the difference is about $250 from a regular SV room.

Thanks, everyone. It is sounding to rich for my blood!
