How much money will we need?

HI guys: We haven't been to Disney in seven years so I am out of touch with how much money we will need. We don't buy souveniers and if the kids want them they have their own money. There are five of us and the kids are 19, 17 and 12. We will be staying at the Dolphin for ten days. We will for the most part eat at a sit down dinner most nights and counter service for most breakfasts except for one crystal palace. We won't be hungry for lunch but probably a snack. We are not ones to scrimp on vacation so we won't be lugging around water bottles or getting tap water. Having said that we won't be eating at real expensive restaurants either except for O'hanas. We'll be doing Rainforest and ESPN and at the hotel dinette restaurant. How much money would you guesstimate that we will need. Thank you.

I would say about $2,000. that is $7 for breakfast, $4 for snack and $28 for supper/table service. Times 5 people and 10 days. Give or take.

If you don't need to do much shopping, the money you will need will be for food and tips. What I do, which I know may be a bit crazy, is look at the menus and guestimate what everyone will order. That helps me estimate how much money I will need. Don't forget if you may want an adult beverage to add in that cost too. They sure aren't cheap!

For my 6 day trip last month I took $450 for tips and the occasional taxi. We were on the dining plan so most food was included. I would guess $1500 would be a good amount to take for a 10 day trip.
