OK we leave tomorrow, DW, DS-11 and Daughter 7. We are staying at pop from the 9th to the 17th. We have no dinning plan. We were planning on taking $2000.00 spending money thats about 250.00 a day which will of course have to feed us 3 meals a day. I dont plan us doing a lot of sit down meals. I want to make sure I have enough $ to eat every day and buy some small stuff for kids if I want to. Can you tell this is our first time? :thumbsup2

That should be enough. We probably took down about as much with us in March, and despite (according to my hubby) that I bought the place out, we had plenty of money when we came home even after upgrading to business class on the way home.

Enjoy!

You don't need to take that much cash---since you are staying on site you can charge meals to your room (table service and counter service). You can also charge souveniers purchased at WDW to your room. You'll only need cash for snacks and things like tipping Mousekeeping & baggage handlers.

When we go to WDW, we plan on a minimum of $150.00 (family of 4) per day. You can make it on this $ if you don't do a lot of table service meals, take advantage of the refillable mugs at the resort, don't do a lot of snacks (take in some of our own), etc.

Have a great time!! :cheer2:

Take as much money as you can stuff in your pockets because it will be flying out of your hands faster than you can imagine...........Disney is very good at that.

No, seriously, $2000 should be fine to feed you (I am assuming you already have tickets paid for.) and get you a few little "extras". All kidding aside though, it is incredibly easy to spend waaaay more than you intended at WDW. Everything is almost rediculously expensive. Just getting a drink of water for the family will set you back $10 - $12............

Thanks sanibelover LOL, and everyone else. We do have our flights, room and tickets all paid for WOW I forgot how much I have already spent.....OK I am putting back $500.00
lol just kidding. Man I cant wait til tomorrow!!!

OK I have another ?
We are there for 8 days and was thinking of renting a car 1 day and driving east to the beach for a day trip. The kids have never seen the ocean and thought it may be a good trip to take. What do you all think. Should we just stay at WDW?

250.00 is very generous, you should have $$ left :)

I would say yes on the beach. You are not very far from the ocean while you are in Orlando. If they have never seen it, it adds so much more to all the wonderful memories you are making and that is what its all about, makin' memories.

Your good to go now, have a wonderful trip, enjoy the parks and the kids, take many pictures, so you can post some when you return. Have a magical trip .

That would be sufficient amount to plan for, but no way would I take that much as cash. I take very little cash...and just use my key card or my debit card. I would hate to see something happen and lose that much cash somewhere! I would run out to the coast if they've never been. They would really enjoy it. We go to Cocoa Beach...just take the BeeLine across... but there are tolls, so take some change! :) Enjoy your trip.

Almost everything goes on my room card and/or credit card. I mostly used cash for tips. Next time I need to bring even more small bills ($1s and $5s).

I wished I knew all that stuff could be charged to my room before I took out 2 grand in cash....lol. Oh well I will keep it in my carry on instead of my pocket and will lock most up in the safe of the room. Hopefully that will be ok. No matter what I AM SOOOOO READY!!1 :cool1:
