hello again everyone, just a quick question really,

how much money do you take for spending ( food and souviners)

We are going from monday to friday in june, and im still not sure how much to take. i was thinking £1000 and thats for food for 2 adults and a toddler as well as souviners. is that too much? or too little? im really not sure. i wanna get a hoodie and a couple of tops aswell.

any thoughts would be most welcomed, thankyou

take what you can afford to - but £1000 is plenty :). souvenirs can be very expensive at DLP (ie more than Disney Store UK prices), but it depends what you want.
We usually spend maybe 50 euros on souvenirs, and I work on around 70 euros per day for all our meals (one adult and one 10-year old). So £100 per day for food and snacks etc should more than cover it for you guys.

Last November we took just short of 1000 euro, this was for 2 adults, a 2 and 4 year old, Monday to Friday.

We ate in nice table service and buffet restaurants and only really bought snacks at lunch.

We bought lots items from the shops, plates, bowls, cups, cutlery, clothes for our boys (tshirts and jumpers), toys, christmas decs, gifts for people and a few ride photos and pictures with santa, photo frames etc. Our car was crammed full of disney bags on the way home!

We came home with about 170-180 euros left so i'm sure you'll have plenty :goodvibes

If you look at the menus on dlrp magic and work out where you think you might eat you can work out a rough budget for food.

We are taking about £650 for mon-fri but we already have 5 meals paid for and we are 2 adults and 3 children. We also have £40 or so of road tolls to pay as we are driving.

Well if its a girly trip much more than my DH thinks I do
:thumbsup2:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl::woohoo:

Due to health reasons, i cant eat large meals and certain types of food, so i think i will be living on chips and fruit for few days we're there, so that should save some money! haha

erm good luck finding fruit at DLP :rotfl2:.

no, they have tinned fruit salad at the santa fe - but they have fresh fruit salad at the breakfasts in the park.

Slightly OT, but I have a possible tip for saving money on the hoodies and tops - the kids sizes go up to age 14, and are probably equivalent to a ladies UK 10-12 ;-) Depends on your size, but if u can get into them you can save a bunch :cool1: All my Disney stff is in kids sizes :rotfl:

one day i will be that size! :rotfl: im currently an 18, after slimming down 2 sizes since having my baby 20 months ago. I like men's hoodies anyways, so much more roomie :)

There is fruit on sale in the park (apples, banana's) and you can get fresh fruit salad in some of the Counter service places

But you have to look for it as the sweet stuff (cakes, brioches, cookies etc tc) is way way more visible

That's surprising! They have lots of fruit carts at the (real) Disneyland Resort in California. The fruit is top quality, and of course top price. I always have to get mangos and lime slices.

A good question which I can´t answer

We are 4 people ( 2 adults and 2 children) and I have to spend a lot of money for the trip to DLP (by train) and for the hotel. I try to get this point as cheap as I could get it (Shareholder discount, Annual passports. Special train rates...)

So we try to get the costs at DLP as cheap as we can get. Briniging most of your food and water inside the park by our own.

But the first time you are in a shop......:scared1:

I think we get a good deal with ourself....spending a lot but not too much.

I can´t tell you the amount, because it depends on so much, but for our next trip I hope for another 40% discount !!!! :worship:
