My sister just got engaged and wants to go to the local courthouse or to Vegas to get married. She's 41 and this is her and her fiance's first marriage. I mentioned a Disney wedding and she was interested but she's not a planner so I would have to plan everything for her. She doesn't want to be engaged for long. Is it possible for her to have a fall 2009 wedding or is that not enough time?

It doesnt' hurt to give it a try. Call them and see if they have any available dates. Usually you have to book out a year in advance but like I said call and see they might try and accomodate you if they have anything available.

My DH and I planned our Escape wedding in about a week. Here's a link to a recent thread discussing the same thing. I think that could help answer some of your questions. As long as you're flexible, you can make it work...

And have your sister check out my TR. My pictures alone were worth it to me to do it there vs. the courthouse!

Disney has weddings down to a science - your sister would hardly have to do much more than pick her cake flavors and flowers, if she didn't want to. And there is plenty of availability less than a year out - she may just need to be flexible about her date and locations. :thumbsup2
