A ECV at Disneyland?? Is it really $30 + a $10 deposit?? I thought it was the other way around :(
There is no way I am gonna shell out this kind of money (not for 5 days) :/

I assume people do pay that price, but holey cow... thats kinda spendy!!

I will have to find my booklet, but actually I thought it was $50 with a $20 refund. It is much too expensive, even at $20. But keep in mind, the parks at Disneyland and DCA are much smaller than WDW... you may be able to manage and not diminish your park day without the ECV.

I was talking with another person at DCA about this very issue... it is very much more expensive for people with disabilities at the parks when they must rent mobility equipment.

It is expensive. I'm not sure just why (other than a profit item for them), but I do know there was a story on our news a while back where a woman was complaining that she could not rent an ecv at the Mall of America because she didn't have a charge card. There, they put a $200 charge on your charge card that they take off after you return the ecv. The Mall defended the practice by explaining that they had been losing an ecv or two a week before they started doing that.

Crimney sakes! :( Thats gonna add up really quick. I dont think it is fair they charge so much...
Im sure it doesnt cost THAT much to charge them each night and the amount of ppl who use them x the price of them, Im sure they are making a huge profit on it.
And I think it really sucks if they charge you $200 (on your card). Im not using any cards.... period. Man that burns me thinking about.

It is almost more to rent one of these then to get in the park. :(

I don't think they charge $200 on your card at the Disney parks. It is expensive though... in part to discourage people who don't really need them from using them... seems excessive to me.

If they really want to stop people who don't need them they should just start asking for documentation, anyone with a real problem has been to a doctor about it. If someone has enough money to get to Disney in the first place an extra $30 a day won't deter them when they believe they're receiving an advantage. I like the idea of a $200 charge only if it comes right off, good security against theft and not costly for me.
