How much is your 2014 WDW vacation going to cost you?

I am transferring a 2013 reservation over in the morning. I will be sure to post the difference in price.

Ok...just booked my 2014 WDW vacation. We are staying at CBR. Me, hubby, and 4 kids ages at travel 11, 9, 8, 6. Travel dates 5/25 thru 5/31. 2 day base tickets (we still have 2 days no exp tickets from last trip), DDP with 1 TS, 1 QS and snack. Standard rooms ( 2 of them bc we are a large family ) .
Total cost: 5097.54
Praying for free dining pin or hopefully the promotion ftom last year of 25% off resort. CM said to be on the lookout for promotion in Jan ...fingers crossed :)
I haven't added up travel cost, Van rental, and spending $ yet.

Just booked our Jan 2014 trip!!!! :cool1: Myself, DH, and DD's 11 4 and 2. Staying in a Cars suite at AoA from 1/27-2/3. 7 day tickets with hoppers, totaling $3696.13. Really hoping to see free dining for then too. If not, we'll probably still add on the regular dining plan. I know people say that its crazy to pay for the DDP if only for convenience but it was so nice last year to not worry about it. Plus, we like to eat, so we get our moneys worth IMHO :rotfl:

I have not booked it yet (actually postponing a trip from this year) but priced it out this morning. Solo trip, POFQ standard room, October 16-23, 7 day tickets with park hopper... about $2100. Dining will add another $1200 (but I over budget an insane amount to be sure I am covered for anything I want).

That price seems so high for just 1 person. I'm staying at a Mod (CBR) Family of 6 with reg DDP for 6 nights @ 5097.54.

It's going to be just me; but I'm spending a lot. I'm estimating about 5K - granted I'm doing a 3 split-stay over 11 nights/12 days. 10 day park hopper w/ water ticket. AOA for 3 nights; Swan/Dolphin for 3 nights & Poly for 5 nights. Booking AOA right now. I'm hoping for a room rack rate discount; and not free dining because of the discount that will give me on the Poly; but I can certainly understand wanting the free dining (and if room discounts aren't offered; I will certainly grab that up!). :)

Unfortunately - as a single goer a good amount of the time; it's the room that costs the most. $2-300/night for one person is 2-300 a night. Whereas with a family of 6; it'd be 35/50/night per person. It just adds up when you go alone. Of course, I'm like the PP and over-budget, too.

We are doing a short-ish trip with my parents in late Jan :)
they don't know yet!

3 adults, 1 Disney adult

(figures are rounded)

5 nights at POP (2 standard rooms) $1068

undercover tourist 4 day base tickets: $1163.80

over-generous food/snack/tip budget $1000 (not doing many TS)

$300 for gas (road trip)

$50 grocery trip for light breakfast items

$149 photo pass +

total: $3730

still need to budget spending money, but we really don't buy a lot of souvenirs.

Based on the rates I'm seeing; it doesn't look like they've gone up much since last year - thankfully!!

Per night rate of $485 to $493 (S-Th) & $530 to $539 (Fri-Sat) for my February dates at the Poly. 2% increase... I'm very happy!

Around $4000 total

It will be DH & myself, ODD(6) and YDD(2.5 so free!).

We are doing 6 nights in February (with a weekend with friends in between)

Port Orleans Riverside Royal Room for 5 nights and 1 night at AoA in a Mermaid room ($118).

5 days park tickets (no hoppers or water parks)

without dining = $2033
with dining = $2714

Flights were just under $1000 and our last trip we had about $400 in additional costs.

March 1-8, 2 adults and 2 kids. POR in the Royal Rooms, 6 day hoppers and it's coming to around $3,000. I'm estimating another $2,000 for food and souvenirs.
Hoping for a room discount at some point!

Excuse me while i am still in sticker shock...
I booked a time frame that always has discounts. So keeping my fingers crossed.
Last week of feb into march.
4adults
WL courtyard view 10nites
10day ph &wpm
Dining plan
$8955

As i said... really keeping fingers crossed for that discount lol.

We are doing a mini-trip as part of a spring break visit to my family (they live in Naples,Fl). This is our first time renting DVC points, and after seeing the 2014 room rates I think I'll be glad we went this route.

We are 2 adults, 2 kids (turning 10 and 3 in a few weeks, so Disney just got a LOT more expensive, lol!)

It's also our first time paying OOP for meals, which I'm a little nervous about, but none of the DP would work out very well this time. We will probably do Boma and Ohana for breakfast, Yak&Yeti for lunch, Sanaa and Jiko for dinner, plus a couple of CS. I may crunch the numbers again to be sure, but the regular DP wouldn't give us nearly enough credits, and we'd probably have leftover credits on the deluxe :(

March 21-24
Standard View Studio AKV (3 nights) - $730
1 day park ticket (AK - 3 ad, 1 ch) - $384
Food - $700??

So about $1800 for the Disney part of the trip.

We will also spend another $1000-1500 on airfare, but we would have done that anyway to visit my parents so I'm going to pretend that doesn't count, lol :)

Oh, and when we leave Disney we'll be going over to Cocoa Beach and the Space Center, and likely spend another $800 or so there.

I'm just hoping the entire Spring Break extravaganza (Disney and otherwise) comes in under $4000, since this wasn't supposed to be our "big vacation" of the year.

Room is $181-$201 a night. No discount for being a single. I am paying the same rate as 2 people in the room would.

It is actually October 15-23.

With no tickets the total is $1674.02. Add in 7 day tickets with parkhoppers takes you up to $2067.36. Add in insurance (which I do get after all the stuff that has happened in the last year alone) and you come to $2143.31.

I honestly am just fine with that cost. I was supposed to go this year but my mom (and travel partner) passed away in May. This year is too soon for me. I am just postponing the trip so it actually will be less next year then the trip would have been this year (1 less person after all).

I am also NOT a DDP person because I don't like being told "how" to eat at a specific meal. Especially with many of my "meals" being Food and Wine Festival booths! I am planning on 4 TS meals (Raglan Road, Flying Fish, Boma, and Via Napoli). I also WAY over budget when it comes to food. As in, appetizer, entree, and dessert at all TS meals, combo meals at all CS, $20 each for "extra" snacks and drinks, $75 per "meal" time period (lunch and dinner) each time I do Food and Wine booths for "meals, the most expensive items on the menu, and for every day of my trip (including arrival and departure days). I very, VERY rarely get an appetizer AND dessert and I just about never use the extra $20 for snacks in a single day. So $1200 there is most likely quite a bit higher then I will spend but I like not having to worry about what I want to order. "Better to have money left over then not be able to do what I want" is how I like to vacation!

There has been a pretty large increase on the prices of King beds in the mods ...

I know, it's crazy, right?
If the normal 35% off room discount for that time period (when I'm going too - Feb) is in effect for deluxes; it brings it down 1-2K!
