Come on!

I had a great day until I read a reply from a thread

It was for how many days would be ideal to stay at Disney?
How could someone/anyone?????possibly even write this, :guilty:

"5 days would be totally enough, my family would be bored" :confused3 WHAT?! :confused3
(sounds like to me these people have never gone to WDW)! :confused3

I would say to them, hunny you need to find another place to vacation or another family!!!!
We go for 2 weeks at each vacation and that isn't enough and we travel, go to many places outside Disney/etc ETC. Help, can anyone answer this?!!!!!!!

What is this world coming to?!!!!
HE HE HE!

2 weeks for 2 weeks to see the MICK!!!!! :cool1: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :moped:

For our first trip to WDW we stayed for 5 days. We'd pulled the kids out of school for a day and went during a slow time. I thought that 5 days was enough, but that was before AK was open and we didn't do anything besides Disney.

The longest I've ever stayed was 13 days and that was for WDW and Universal and it was too long for me. I was there with my youngest child and the rest of the family was at home, so missing them was a big part of why I was more than ready to go home.

This last trip was for 6 nights, 7 days and we only did Disney. It was my DD (18yo) and me and it was long enough in a way, but I could have spent a couple more days there. She had had enough, though, so I'm glad we weren't there longer.

For me, personally, I think 1 week is perfect--enough that I get to see most everything that I want to, but it leaves me wanting a little more and I'm excited to return even before I've left.

There's no way would we be bored in 5 days!

I would have said the same thing a year ago. DH had begged me to go to WDW for years and I finally caved in last year. He wanted me to plan it (no clue why since I didn't even want to go, but turned out to be a brilliant idea!). I originally planned for 4 nights/5 days and he told me to go longer. Okay, 5 nights then. :rotfl2: The more I researched, the longer the stay got. :lmao:

I'd kill to stay for 14 days, or even 21, as someone else had mentioned on the resort forum! Lucky!!!

you go to Disney no matter what it costs

just don't ask me why I only have one kidney

The last time we went we stayed for 14 days, we had the 30 day lenth of stay passes and I wanted to get my monies worth. By the end of the trip my older daughter was saying "Day 107 and yes we are still in Disney!" I guess it was too much for her. LOL Me the hardest part of that trip was having to go home with days left on those passes. :teeth:

10 to 14 days anywhere for vacation for me -- I like to do the theme parks and have some relaxation days -- we are on vacation!!

I hope to be planning in 2007 or 2008 to go overseas for a month :goodvibes

I'm with you on this one. Can never be enough. Who let them on this board anyways. Bored disney - those two words DO NOT belong in the same sentence.

I can never get enough . My boss calls me the other day and says I have to go to training either LA or Indy .1st thought LA can I get some DL time in.

Well he gives me Dates yesterday and they conflict with me being able to win Raven PSL's (1 in 20 chance).

So I start to think Oh well was just there in June ,WDW in OCT, Booked for June & DEC.
Then I think who needs sleep So I'm leaving BWI at 6:45 am and will be in DL by Noon then back to LA for training on Tues & Wend.Back for Ravens thing Thurs.

I talked my Co-worker into going he has never been to either and just doesn't understand my content Disney this Disney That.

Three days in the parks were enough. By then we were "Disneyed out." My mom was getting a little tired of all the imagination stuff and started doing Mickey impressions in a high-pitched voice "Whoo imagination rules!" We liked it, but three days was enough. We didn't do Animal Kingdom because none of us really like animals. Personally, I wish Disney had more coasters. Also I wish Disney was on the ocean because I wanted to go to the beach.

My cousins went 2 years ago for their 1st time and they were there for 4 days and they said it was more than enough, that they did so much in those 4 days that they needed to come home and rest. They said next time they'd probably just stay 3 days or take a day off to rest. I was shocked, but hey, that's me. I prefer about a week, that way I can relax and take my time seeing everything.

Heck, if I could just move in, I would.

I live in FL, I have been to WDW more times than I could possibly count, beginning the year it opened. Every time I go, I experience something I have never experienced before.

I am one of those fortunate people that stays for long lengths of time. We will check in on June 1 and stay till Aug 5, about 8 weeks this summer. We (my 5 youngest and myself) stay in our fifth wheel at Ft. Wilderness. I love our camper, it has a washer/dryer, 2 bathrooms and 2 a/c units. We eat meals at the camper and play at the campground all day. We go to the parks only at night and go to the park that has EMH for that night. I guess we could probably do everything if we tried, but the best part is sitting around at the campground, doing nothing! :teeth: Last year we stayed 6 weeks and said we were going to tour each and every resort....nope. We did manage to go to the Poly to make a bracelet, but that was about it. So far, in the last 2 months, we have gone 2 times and stayed a week each time. We also have reservations from April 8 to 15 of this year. Will we tour each resort? Maybe. Will we sleep till noon, swim till dark and play till the early a.m. at the theme parks....oh yea! I am like one other poster stated, I would just move in if they let me! There are never any vacations at Disney that are too long for my crew!!!

I can see what they are saying.

My family did 1 week poly concierge ages ago. We did EVERYTHING we had wanted to do (pre-AK, Disney Quest, Cirque and alll the other options they had today)..by Day 6..we had reached our peak. But then we like to come back again and again. 7 days or less are adequate for us PER visit...we just like to repeat that cyclically.

Our visits today are 2-3 days. But we go frequently when we are in the visiting cycle (aka--when we have annual passes).

Nowadays--too much I want to see and do elsewhere--so it will be a while before we do a long vacation at Disney.

We don't go unless we can afford to stay 14-18 days. But then it costs between $800-$1000 for our family of four to fly down there!

We have gone for 5 days, 6 days and 12 days. The 12 days was during Christmas and it was the most wonderful trip ever!! Bar none!! :thumbsup2

It all depends really on when we are going. I don't really like to pull DD out of school for too long. She's and A+ student and dislikes missing any time from school! Lord knows she didn't get that trait from her father!! :rotfl2:

We are planning a 12-14 stay during next Christmas. And we can't wait!!!

We have always said that if we ever fell into tons of money, we would stay at Disney for at least a month. Many years ago my DH was working on a new house being built by new lotto winners (DH is an electrician). BIG time lotto winners!! While their house was being built they stayed at WDW for over a month. They kept shipping to the new house all the stuff they were buying. I was there one day when UPS pulled up with many boxes. It was crazy!! There was a huge pile in the basement being stored. :faint:

I've been fairly often and came close to being burnt out. Now we just spend a few days and also do other things and that works well for us. I guess that people differ widely on the amount of time.

Our normal trips have been for 7 days, with a few 3-4 day trips thrown in. We are going down for 12 days in May. We've booked two tours that we have really wanted to do, and have plans to do things a little more slowly than we have in the past. I am really looking forward to just relaxing and not worrying that we won't have the time to do what we really want to do.

I think if you constantly go at it commando style, yes it would be too much after 4-5 days.

Well 5 days in a row of the parks are enough for us. :confused3 The idea of an extended visit, even with rest days in between, doesn't appeal to me either.

If money and time of from work/school was not an issue (now I'm dreaming here of course) I could easily spend 3-4 weeks there.

There is so much to do and see. And with that kind of time on my hands I could slow way down and go in every shop and try different eateries, etc. Take time to find every hidden Mickey or mosey along with my DH holding hands, people watching and smelling the proverbial roses. :cloud9:

Our standard trip length is 7 days/6 nights. We like that amount of time quite well. We don’t get to see everything, but we do get to see most of what we want to. We also get to eat at most of our restaurant choices. I like the fact that we don’t ever quite get to everything we wanted to see or do—it leaves us wanting to come back.

If I had to go commando style, staying at the parks from open until close every day, I don’t think I could take too many days in a row of that. We prefer a much more relaxed touring style. If money were no object, I think that I might like to take a 10 day/9 night trip. Much longer than that and I think I’d be ready to come home.
