How much is standard for tipping housekeeping?

We stayed at 4 DVC resorts on our last visit, and I wasn't sure how much to leave as a tip. The longest we stayed at each resort was 3 nights, so we weren't there for a room refresh. I will feel bad if we didn't leave enough for the housekeeper. We were in a one bedroom and a studio...

Thank you!

Housekeeping is a non-tipped position. So no tip is required. Unless you made a big mess or needed extra help from Housekeeping, nothing is necessary.

We typically tip $10 on trash and towel day for a 2BR and another $10 when we leave.

Since Disney does not consider mousekeeping a tipped postition, what you leave is totally up to you. We usually do so much extra before we leave, that we often consider that our tip. We bag and take out trash and recyclables, clean out the fridge, take apart the bedding so the bed is ready for clean linens, put all the towels in the tub, and run the dishwasher. I also make sure the oven and stove are wiped out and the coffee pot is in the dishwasher too.

i usually leave $10 on the last day. I alway think that the trash/towel service is the day after the actual day they come so I always miss it:confused3.

Nice of you to consider the Disney cast members, staff, and the hard work they do while you enjoy your vacation. I have always tipped about $3 per day for the length of my stay. Usually leave it on the dresser with a short note.
