ok..... So I started working out on 03/20/2005 - so this would be my week # 7!!!!

I have not seen a POUND drop - totally to the contrary! It shows I am up 5 pds!

k - so I wonder how much is enough to work out...

So here is my rundown:

week 1 120 min / 4 work outs done
week 2 95 min / 3 work outs done
week 3 120 min / 4 work outs done
week 4 40 / 2 work outs done ( dropped a chair on toe!)
week 5 125 min / 3 work outs done
week 6 160 min / 5 work outs
week 7 ( on that now) 100 min / 3 work outs....

I have recently started back on a basic WW plan - hoping to jump start the loss too......

I would like to do as much as I can - but some nights I just can't get the time to get on the machine.....sooooooo....does anyone have any recommendations - any thoughts .... I hate to see the scale go up and I know sooner or later it will go down - but am I working out too little - not enough time --- gosh I dont know.... :sad2:

One of the fundamental principles of the weight-loss program I used (Health Management Resources) is accountability. Holding yourself accountable provides you an incredibly strong tool to apply towards your weight management efforts. You clearly are closely monitoring your physical activity: How well are you monitoring your food intake (both in terms of overall calories, and in terms of ensuring full nutrition)?

Whenever folks in our program encountered problems such as yours, our coaches and medical professionals would help us journal more detailed information about our intake and expenditure, and that typically highlighted the source of the gap, typically either overestimating calories-burned, or underestimating calorie intake. While that was not always the case, it was the most common scenario.

You know - you hit it right on the head ! I also read an article in "self" magazine yesterday about this issue exactly. And I said to DH - oh my goodness - look - this is the issue - I do good all day - following a semi sorta WW plan - yet at night - " heck I worked out 40 minutes - sure popcorn and juice sounds good!" SOOO whamieee... so to hold self accountable is the exact issue.

Thank you for your reply - I did read it prior to going to the foodstore and bought "appropriate food" for my weight loss !!!!!

The success seems to be in combining careful food journaling and exercise. I think we often (at least I do) overestimate what we eat! Also, drink water to flush out the system. Good luck! I am working at consistency in my life. Consistency in eating well/less and consistnency in working out.

OOPS- I just edited my post

Ok, I re-read your post. I read it wrong. I thought you were doing all those workouts in one day. I was reading it as 7 days not 7 weeks. You are definately not overtraining!! I kept thinking holy cow she is doing 4 & 5 workouts in a day, lol! She is going to burn herself out!! No wonder she isn't loosing!!

So basically I erased what I wrote because it was about overtraining.

Are you possibly not eating enough? How many ww points are you eating?

Hello there ~ well It could be a combination of too much one day and not enough another ! so I started tracking pts again - I am doing 31 - 33 pts daily. I slowed down on the gazelle ~ not that that is the problem - but I wanted to see if I went down just with WW - then I know it will work to add gazelle back in.

Your stats are fantastic - way to go - :) :) :)
