How much is AAA membership?

Is it worth getting just to get a room discount? Where do you get it at?

I think the membership price varies by state. I paid $63 in Colorado, and was able to sign up and print my temporary membership card online.

With the membership, we saved almost $300 on an 8 night package w/ dining at POFQ! And even better, I found a great AAA agent right here on the DIS! This board rocks!

In MA it costs me 115 to cover myself and my DW. This is for the more expensive 'plus' membership which covers a longer towing service and a few more things. We saved well over 400 for our visit next month. Plus there are other savings opportunities at other stores, movie theatres, and more. It is easy to get the money back. Plus if you ever break down the towing service will certainly get you the money back.

Here in NYC, for basic membership (not the plus) it is $45 for one and $65 for a couple. You can go online at aaa.com to join and have a temporary card immediately. If you don't have a better way to get hotel discounts (like AP or DVC) this is a good choice, and you will likely more than make up the cost of the membership on your first trip.

I believe I pay $45 for the one person annual membership (not plus). Depending on the length of your stay it may well be worth it! Also, you might find you will use AAA for other things including the auto service, discounted movie & show tickets etc etc. I think the most convenient way is to sign up online.

To use the AAA discount do you book directly through AAA? Anyone have a phone # for AAA that I should call?

In OH membership was 55. To book room only you can call Disney CRO 407-w-disney. (407-934-7639) Just ask for availability with AAA discount.
If you want package, room, tkts. and/or dining you need to call AAA. This can be done at any AAA office, but just make sure you get a knowledgable person. You can also use Dreams Unlimited (DISboard sponsor) and they will do it all for you.
