how much is a triout for disney cosmo?

At the time of my wedding last year the price at that time was 50.00 each person. For makeup it was an additional fee of 45.00.

No Louisa unfortunately not - you pay the same price as you would on the wedding day and I paid out $95 for hair and make-up so at least the prices haven't gone up since Ellie's wedding.

You know what though if you want to save money and are sure that you have the pictures of how you want your hair or perhaps have a cheaper trial done at home for cheaper and take piccies then maybe you could just go for the wedding day. As long as you know what you want and you can make that clear to them then do that.

I would have been more than happy to walk down the aisle after my trial.

although i wasn't a "disney" bride, i still used disney cosmetology before my wedding. i just had them do my hair at the time (did my own makeup). i had an idea as to how i wanted my hair, but no pics or anything...i told her what i wanted and away she went! my hair was fabulous and stayed virtually intact the entire day!

i was married in 2002...and i paid about $50 as well, before tip.

Brandie your updo looked wonderful thanks for sharing and it's good to know that brides don't always need a trial.

i'm planning on getting my hair done the way i want it when i get my dress altered. that way, i know if it looks good with the dress or not. if it looks good, i'll do it in disney. that'll be my trial run.

thank you!

the reason why i want to do a trial , is i don't know the makeup artist, and i am afraid if i don't like their job on my wedding day, and then they might have to redo it, which as a result delays my wedding
do you know are disney cosmo professional?
i can trust MAC, make up forever artist, but i don't know disney
what do you think?
by the way 50.00 for a trial is so expensive, in canada, you can have MAC to do it for you for only $25.00 cad

OK Louisa first off yes it does sound expensive but at the end of the day they haven't put their prices up for an age.

Disney Cosmo are all professional make-up artists and forgive for saying in some cases have many years experience than some of the MAC counter staff I have experienced.

Disney Cosmo ony use MAC make-up so that is a major plus.

The staff at Disney Cosmo not only do the weddings but they are responsible for the make-up of all the Disney Cast Members in all the shows, parades etc.

I have had MAC do my make-up in Norstroms and I have loved it but it wouldn't have lasted me the whole day unlike the way Disney Cosmo do it.

What I suggest is this - get a trial done with MAC at home make sure they write every single colour and detail down that they have used and then you can give this to Disney on the day that they do the make-up. And if you're concerned just allow extra time for them to re-do anything that you don't like. You are the one that dictates what time you want someone in your room AND if you don't like the result you tell them and they'll fix it.

This happened to my friend on my wedding day, not with the makeup but with her hair - she hadn't had a trial - she didn't like the way that Rex did it the first time so he re-did it.

Hope all of the baove helps you Louisa :)

I didn't have any trial runs for my hair or make-up. Lisa asked how I wanted everything and I said half-up/half-down, with curls and that I don't wear make-up everyday, so I was trusting her.

She did a wonderful job, and when she was done, I looked in the mirror, asked if she could fix my lipstick, as I thought it a bit too light, and she said of course and fixed it.

I really enjoyed having her work on me and she also did my hair and make-up two days later for our MK session.

I had a trial in Disney for both makeup and hair.........I actually brought my hairstylist with me but didn't want to pressure of being rushed because she had her kids there.

Lisa did my hair and Lili did my make up. I just let them do whatever they wanted.........(with very little input) i was so relaxed and figured(like Sam said) they work on Michael Eisner and all other big wigs how bad could they be........

I was very pleased and really didn't need the trial but if it will ease your mind just do it.............

thanks for all the info
now i feel that i have more confidence over disney cosmo
and to save money, i think i won't have a triout

I'd just like to point out that Disney Cosmo's prices are really quite cheap compared to a salon in a major city, and that it is quite different than getting it done at a makeup counter at a mall. My salon charges $100 for updo and $75 for special occasion makeup and I've seen it for more at other places. This is one of the few areas at FTW that is a true bargain.
