Now the OKW/SSR with free DDP deals have ended I priced up how much it would be to book now. Flight prices have also gone thru the roof so here's how much we paid and how much if we were to book today.

4 adults, 1 teen & 1 child(age 3)

Flights (VA, eco out, PE return) £5159.53
2 studios OKW £3510
Disney Tix £1,515
DDP free
Total £10,184.53

Today's prices.
Flights £8,690.54
OKW £5,490
Disney Tix £1,410 (only thing that has dropped)
DDP £2661,10
Total £18,251.64

Up a massive £8,067.11:scared1:
Just shows how important it is to book at the right time.

Im not looking incase the flights have went down, no no ,its way to scary that game.

But in genaral flights are SO expensive compared to a few years ago:sad1:

I can never resist, I check at least once a month, I suppose I want to know even if they go down, helps for future trips. Thankfully in 27 trips to US I can only remember 1 that dropped after booking and that was to Los Angeles, booked Miles and money saving about £75pp, they then had a sale, could have saved about £25pp and earned miles instead of spending them.

I haven't actually looked aside from later the day I booked when they had in fact gone up - and then once for someone else who was looking for similar dates. But you have me curious now. The question is, at the end of today, can my brain handle seeing all those numbers ? :rotfl:

We (would have) paid £3810 for 18 nights POFQ, free dining upgraded to DDP, 21 day tickets - 2 adults - via VH

Same holiday today is coming in at £5075

:scared1: Considering our party is made up of me and a 9 year old (although I put her down as 10 so essentially an adult for park tickets), the increase in price since I booked last year is SCARY!!!

15 nights at POFQ with 14 day ultimate tickets and free QSDP:
Was £1,865 Now £2,614

Indirect flights from Edinburgh to Orlando
Was £1,020 Now £1,560

Total increase:

£1,289

I have not even booked my flights yet but my cruise for June 2012 has already gone up nearly $1000 since January!

We're doing New York for 5 nights instead of Orlando but since we booked at Christmas...

Flights - gone up by £238 for 2 adults
Hotel room - gone up by £92/night, up by £461 total
For the two of us, the total increase is £699 (or £349 each). Overall, it's a 49% increase.

mines gone up about 1000 pounds!!! :cool1::cool1: although 299 is the fact we have the qsdp free, and the rest is the flights - booked at the right time me thinks :goodvibes

I'll play :)

2 adults and a 5 yr old flying from Manchester with US airways via Philapelphia. School hols Oct 2011.

Booked with thomas cook online on day flights were released (11m from return date)

Paid £2088 for flights and condo - staying at Floridays in a 3 bed condo.

Now exact same flights/condo £3006.40

Saved £918 :thumbsup2

Just the flights alone now are £2026 - scary!

Yes I just had to look too!

My flights have increased by £1603 for 5 adult tickets.

At least the rest of the holiday won't increase as we've done it all ourselves and luckily we got a 25% discount on the hotel cost, which has now been fixed. Bought the GO LA cards when they had a 10% discount and the Disneyland tickets don't alter much as not many places sell them, but where I got them from were cheaper than buying from Disney direct.

For 4 adults...

Flights (BA, Economy, Tampa return) £1,688
2 Bed Villa SSR £2,040
Disney Tix £928
DDP Free
Disney Dream 4 night Cruise £1,700
Total £6,356

Today's prices.
Flights £2,576.00
SSR £3,170
Disney Tix £916
DDP £1,410
Disney Dream 4 night Cruise £4,556
Total £12,628

Increase of £6,272!!!

Almost double the price!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Our Virgin flights (2 adults and one child), which cost us £2500, are now £4043!!

CAN I PLAY, CAN I PLAY!!

Mine isnt that impressive though!

2 adults - Aug 31st to Sept 17th - Booked with Travel City

only a £300 increase but still thats like Discovery Cove for the both of us or three very nice meals lol!

Our Virgin flights, car hire and 21 day WDW tickets cost us £2800, now it would be £3514 so a difference of £714 :headache:

Our Disney package: OKW, tickets and DDP has increased by £3,599 and our flights with Virgin have increased by £771!! That's a total of £4,370 increase :scared1:
