I've seen a similar post somewhere but I can't find it now.

What I'd like to clarify before we book, is whether my ever-hungry boyfriend (and me of course) can eat as much as he wants, whenever he wants on a disney cruise, included in the price of the cruise.

I've looked at the website and it all looks a bit too good to be true, is all the stuff on there, the snacks and stuff, all included in the price???

Is it theoretically unlimited eating.....

(you'd all laugh if you saw my boyfriend when I'm asking how much he'll be able to eat, he's the slimmest person ever....darn him!)

yes. the answer to your question is yes. There is food at different places all the time. From the regular restaurants during breakfast, lunch and dinner, to the deck 9 fastfood eateries. To scoops where you can get unlimited chocolate chip cookies, ice cream, fruit, and sub sandwiches. Then of course you can order room service. Happy eating :rotfl:

pretty much unlimited eating..lol. That is definately correct!
:cool1: :drinking1

I will never forget when I cruised on the "old Disney ship" The Big Red Boat and there was a poor woman in line behind me with her husband for the midnight buffet. She said "I'm not hungry, I'll just sit with you" her husband replied, "I paid $3,000.00 for this cruise, You're EATING!!" I couldn't stop laughing. so yes, eat eat eat eat eat. :cheer2:

He can eat as much as he wants. The only food that costs extra is stuff from the snack bar/cart outside of the WD and BV theatres. He can have 3 entrees at dinner and 6 desserts if he wants. He can go to deck 9/10 and hit every fast food outlet there 77 times each day. He can follow that up with room service.

There is NO reason for anyone to go hungry on the ship.

Note--beverages from the deck 9 station are "free" as are sodas in the dining room. THe same sodas at a bar or room service come with a hefty charge. Smoothies and alcoholic beverages cost.

accually soda is now free everywhere and the deck nine food stands close at midnite but roomservice is always open.

Soda is now free in the bars/clubs too? Great! :)

At our table of three adults and 4 teens, we averaged at LEAST 10 main dishes along with many salads, and desserts in the dozen or more.... and room service at least once a day- there is never enough time to eat all you want!

not only is the food plentiful, but also of exceptional quality....

Its good, but I wouldn't want to set anyone's expectations to exceptional. Had I gone on the ship expecting exceptional, we'd have been very disappointed. As it was, we were expecting good and were quite happy. (there are some things that aren't good. Few people like the pizza from the pizza window, and I've never heard a good thing about the sushi on the seafood buffet).

Cant say much about the sushi, my DW lived on the pizza :cool1: :cool1: all the time I mean all the time.

(I actually didn't think it was horrible myself, but a lot of people really don't like it).

Ok, let me see if I understand the above....soda is now free everywhere??? This is certainly a change from our last cruise (9 months ago). That would be great if it is true.

Okay everyone so far has stated that food is available. Now I must say though, that when I was first informed that the fare included the food and I would read these baords about the food, I really did not believe it. You know...people tend to want to exagerate things.

BUT, there is no lacking for food. From morning to way past midnight. And when people say you can order as much as you want, that is no lie. In fact, if you have a good server, they will recognize your ordering styles and often bring out dishes that they think that you might like.

Okay, so here is what one can do...

Breakfast: Buffet Style or regular sit down
After breakfast: Deck 9...pizza, fruit, chicken fingers, ice cream, etc.
Deck 10: The most excellent panini's. (Did not know about these on our first 2 cruises) I believe that this is a secret.
Lunch: Sit down or Buffet
After lunch: See after breakfast
Dinner: Yeah!!! Order what you want and as much as you want from the menu.
After Dinner: See after breakfast. Also there are often deserts and finger foods set up outside of the "clubs"
And then there is the Midnight Desert function
And of course there is Room Service.

And the above is every day!

Food, one can easily gain 10 pounds if they are not very careful

I do not believe it is FREE at the bars/lounges or through room service still.

Anyone from a recent cruise who can confirm soda being free everywhere on the ship. That sounds too good to be true :cheer2:

Well last week it was free on Deck 9 and dinner. Still had to pay if you wanted it from Room Service or Bars/Lounges. Spent $4-6/2 Ginger Ale's for DW.
