not for souvenirs but for extra food would you say was needed when on DDP.

we would have a car so would be buying snacks, cereals for breakfasts, some rolls and cheese etc.

we are 2 adults, 2 children

If you bring food to eat for breakfast, a few snacks and use the dining plan for lunch and dinner, the answer is nothing.. When we went in May we only spent an extra $15.00 with the plan and that was for Dole Whips which were not covered. Other than that we were more than full (stuffed most days). We used the snack credits for bottle waters and a few mickey bars at the parks, never had to buy drinks out of pocket. At the resort we did spend about $55.00 on mugs for our refillable cups, but if you bring drinks with you to the hotel you would not need even that. The plan is enough that with planning there should be no need to buy anything oop.

thanks for that, we are planning on doing a couple character breakfasts so we may have to add in a little bit to eat on the dinnertime those days, or have cereals for dinner ;)

We found we were able to share a lot of the CS, my kids didn't always like the offerings so I would just purchase them a hot dog and share my fries and things. We ddin't spend that much for 2 adults and 2children (though one of my children was considered an adult) we spent under $100 on a few things like the hotdogs, a few alcoholic drinks, a few snack items that were not included, etc. --for 6 days.

We just returned on Friday night from a 10 day trip with five of us (2 adults 3 children) and I wrote down everything we spent and kept receipts from all of our dining plan meals - here is what we ended up spending...

The total of our DDP meals (45 counter service, 45 snacks, and 45 table service) came to a whopping $2015.31 - we paid around $900. :)

As for the money we spent out of pocket, we were at about $55. This amount included milk (we bought at the resort gift shop as it was MUCH cheaper than the food court - we were at POR), additional tips for some of the table service dinners, one kids counter service meal, treats bought in the different countries at Epcot, and 3 treats at Goofy's Candy store at DD.

We did bring along in luggage the small cereal boxes, dried oatmeal packets (got hot water from the food court), dried fruit, and granola for our breakfasts. We did use some snack credits for fresh fruit (grapes, oranges, apples) in the morning to go along with the cereals or oatmeal.

We didn't find the need to spend any more than that as the meals and snacks fill you up!

That is good to hear. I was going to ask the same question. I am not planning on taking alot of extra money for food, maybe $20.00 a day. Thanks! pirate: :teacher: princess: :cheer2:
