How much extra do you spend?

I wanted to do a poll but when you factor 3night, 4night, 5night, and 7night as well as number of people in your party there are too many variables. But I'm curious, how much extra do you typically charge to your stateroom during your cruise? (Not including tips, I've already figured those) I'm just trying to get a sort of average.

The is no straightforward way to answer this because it depends on the cruise length and itinerary. For a short 3 or 4 night Bahamas cruise we may only spent $200 but when we did Alaska we were in the $3000 region. I would say on average, other than excursions and tips, we spent around $60/day on a cruise. We mainly spend it on adult dining and alcohol. We have a minimum of 1 Palo brunch and 1 Palo dinner per cruise, so that is $100 per cruise already for 2 of us. We don't play Bingo. We don't buy a lot in the shops anymore. We don't have kids so don't need to use the nursery. Last year we did a 7 night cruise where we spent $300 and half of that was tips. There arso many variables to a cruise that you can spent $0 or you can spend $10k.

We only spent about $100 in extras. Bought a picture frame and shirts in gift shop, $20 for one photo at shutters (wish we could have got more but very pricey), and a few drinks. FYI-hubby didn't understand that when they come around offering the fruity drinks that they weren't free, lol. Be sure that everybody in your party that is allowed to charge understands that if they ask for your "key to the world" you will be paying for it

For the 2 of us, our final bill has been anywhere between $1000 and $2700 depending on the cruise. Our Alaska cruise was by far the most expensive because of the excursions we went on. We don't drink so we save money on alcohol but my DW really likes to shop.

About $800 last time. Mostly on excursions and a few small purchases. We do not drink alcohol and the kids bring their own spending money. This time will probably be much less as we are not doing such expensive excursions.

This is going to vary quite a bit depending on whether you do excursions/spa treatments/tastings (and what type), whether you drink, buy pictures, get coffee at Cove Café, buy souvenirs, eat at Palo/Remy, etc.

That said, our room bill is normally between $1000-$1400 on a 7-night cruise for two people, including tips.

$1200 ( 2 x $600) full experiences at BBB for my 2 girls.

I don't think my husband realized the price when the "Fairy Godmothers in Training" were upselling the package to him! LOL

He couldn't back down after he told our girls that they could have the works.

He has however advised them that they need to start saving their pocket money if they intend to visit BBB on their upcoming cruise.

We are bringing 1500$ on our wbta. We are two adults. On top of that we bring 500$ to shutters and pre pay the tips. We don't drink, but like spending money on new Disney shirts

On our 7 night, I pre-paid the shutters cd and prints and pre paid tips. Then our extra costs were $740. Some Palo... some drinks(not every day)...some shopping... some laundry service. No spa or excursions. (3 people)

Last year 4 night Dream. Excursion was cancelled. Bill was for alcohol, and spa appointment and maybe some miscellaneous things. 2 adults, 2 kids- $400 I was surprised how little especially since the spa bill and tip was $120 plus tip.

On the Fantasy W Carribean 7 day cruise (two adults) we spent just under $3,000--for alcohol, souveniers, adult dining at Palo and Remy (with wine pairings), Spa treatments, extra tips, lunch on Cayman Islands, photo packages--and probably a few other things I can't recall:)

First 7n our extras (including tip) for 4 people was $1500

On our recent 7n (including tip) for 4 people was $2500

So it really depends. This last cruise we did a big excursion every port including parasailing in CC. We also did quite a few extras onboard, like drink programs, bbb, sports and golf sims. We also did a lot of shopping.

on a 7 night the minimum that was charged to our OBA was $2,000 which includes tips, excursions, BBB, drinks, gifts... but it's more like $2,000-$3,000...and we do things in moderation..moderate drinking, 1 basic excursion per POC, a few gifts on board, the basic tips, etc... We are a family of 3.

4 nights 3 adults 2 children we spent 1100.00.
Gratuities were prepaid before the trip and the other gratuities are not included in this sum.

Bingo
Souvies
Drinks- non alcoholic and alcoholic
Spa
Pictures

I am sure there are things I am forgetting.

Most of ours is excursions. We are a family of 4 and those add up very quickly. We usually spend around $1500 on excursions alone for a 7 night.
We do not spend much at all on drinks (maybe $20) and our other expense is on new sweatshirts or trading pins.

It really just depends on what you want to do and how much or little you want to spend.

2 adults 2 kids on a 5 night cruise $100
Light up pirate glasses (4)
2 photos from shutters
Pirate swords from the gift shop
Room service tips
Tylenol from the gift shop

2 adults on a 3 night cruise $200 ish
Dinner in palo $20 pp plus tip
Bikes on CC $6 pp
Mixology $15 pp
Adult beverages
Specialty coffee
Room service tips

WOW $3000 for 7 nights????????????????????????? :scared1:

I'm a solo traveller and on a 7 day cruise I will on average spending about $400. This includes the shipboard credit I recieve as a return castaway club member and from my travel agent. That amount could be reduced drastically but I like to enjoy at least one meal at Palos and doing some adventurous port adventures (scuba diving, zip lining, kayaking, etc) while on my cruises and those average about $150 per person.
