How much does your holiday usually cost inc. spends?

Yeah I guess you would save if you're buying annual passes and yearly TI.. This will be our only holiday in a 12 month period though (& 2008 won't be Orlando) so probably not an option for us.

hi
staying off disney property at £18 a night helps too. the company we insure with, there is only £30 difference between a single family policy and an annual one, as for park tickets, the break even point is twelve days when you have factored in the $10 a day parking. we also only eat at buffet places in the evening - our choice. so therefore $60 a day spending money is sufficient as the hotel has complimentar breakfast! we intentionally go on a limited budget so that we can go twice a year. we prefer budgetx2 than one big splurge. however we all get there, as long as we enjoy ourselves in oir own way, does it matter in the long run how we do it? horses for courses - i hate that stupid expression but it fits! and i have just read that sentence and it's awfully bad english :thumbsup2 lol

Hi :wave2:

For 2 adults staying at the ASMo for 17 nights, flying with Virign, park tickets, insurance and transfers costs us about £2600.00.

Spending money is about £1500.00 - £1750.00 depending on how well we save! :teacher:

Gosh it adds up doesn't it...and that doesn't include those little extras such as:

1) the new wardrobe I buy for the holiday
2) Books to read on the plane
3) Pre-made t-shirts for a special event i.e. anniversary
4) Character dining already booked and paid for
5) Possible upgrade on the flight
6) Planning guides both official and non official

But it is so worth the money...I think, don't you?

next years breakdown for us is

£3300, upper class virgin flight, car hire and insurance
$2700 pop century including dining plan

£400ish disney tickets

$5000 spending money for me
who knows for chris lol

Ok, so not just me being asleep then? :)

I thought it was all Wilderness Lodge (concierge level) with the parents booked into the Honeymoon Suite... must have lost the track somewhere...

I've provisionally budgeted about £3000-£3500 right now for me and my bf and from looking up prices online I think it'll be doable, we could save money by staying in a value resort at WDW but am hoping that selling some Piece Of Disney History pins I have will 'pay' for our upgrade to a moderate ;) Haven't booked anything yet as i'm waiting for scheduled flights to be released for our dates but this is my basic breakdown:
-Disney moderate resort 7 nights w/tickets + dining plan approx £900 (may get DP free but budgeting it in for the time being)
-Offsite hotel on I-drive approx £450 for 7 nights
-Orlando flex 5 park, KSC and Boat tour tickets £350 approx (considering getting FOTL passes also but not sure if we'll need them since we're going in September)
-Spending money £1000 (for food and emergency money mostly, going to do daily budgets and any left over we can spend on souvenirs, will probably bring our own souvenir spends separately depending on what we can save.. Since we'll have DDP it's mostly for our first week anyway)
-Flights £700-£800 (hoping for a good deal with Virgin but if they're too pricey then we'll fly charter)
-Travel insurance approx £40-50.
-Undecided on car hire, don't think we'll really need one since we'll be within walking distance of Universal in our first week, Seaworld and malls are easy to get to on the bus or with a cheap taxi, KSC, boat tour and Busch have transportation (done this before with no probs) and we're staying onsite for our second week so Disney transportation will be fine :)

Hope this thread is OK, don't want it to turn nasty or anything I just thought it'd be interesting to compare costs

For last 3 years Ive owned a villa ,so have been lucky to have 3 weeks rent free accomodation.
I also get last minute flights under £200 each
I get the community shuttle to theme parks each day ($12 per person)
Buy theme park tickets (approx £200)
Food - cheaper as have alot of meals in villa ,breakfast and can take cold drinks etc..... £100/£150 a week

Including spending money I have no idea, but the "raw" trip to Orlando (flights/hotels/tickets/car) for two weeks typically costs us around £8,000. That's for two adults and three children in high season (Spring Break or August) with PE flights. We've paid a lot more when flying Upper Class instead of PE, but that's a rare occasion for our Orlando trips. We've also paid a lot less when utilising flying club miles.

Next years trip should be considerably cheaper, as we will be flying from San Francisco to Orlando instead.

:wizard:

Our 18 day holiday (for DH and I) this year is costing us around £3500 as follows:

Flights with BA: £630
1 night AKL: £160
9 nights POFQ package with 10 day park hoppers/waterpark option and free dining (woo hoo!): £1100
7 nights villa: £415
Car rental for 7 days: £115
Seaworld tickets/Dolly's Dixie Stampede: £110
Spending money: £1000

Total: £3530

I think we managed to get a good deal with the free dining and flights!!!

For 6 adults and 5 children aged 2,2,7,8,8 our total cost is just over £10,200, it did come to just under £12,000 but i deducted our depoist for the wedding which was about £1,700.
I thought this was a great price, we are staying at Port Orleans Riverside, 3 rooms upgraded to water view, 14 day disney tickets for everyone, one mini van and an intermiate car with upgraded insurance, gold travel insurance for everyone and upgraded seats to premium class, also paid extra for the children to have the kids packs.

excuse the spelling! Was rushing; i dread to think how much spending money we will need. Will take about £8,000 between us and some plastics!

We went at Easter this year and spent:

Flights £1900 (2 adults, 2 kids)
2 weeks time share exchanged £400
1 night at Beach Club Villas using rented points £121
2 nights at Wilderness Lodge Villas rented points £242
4 nights of Sanibel £650
Car hire £300
Parks tickets for 2 adults, 1 child (other one below 3yrs) £500

Total £4000

We did luck out this time. We got a call from BA asking if we would mind changing from a Orlando flight to one to Tampa on the same day on way out as the Orlando flight was over book. As they offered as approx £1650 to do this we said yes, so total was £2400 plus spending of £2000.

Ok so far mine has cost -

£600 - Flights on Virgin
£2390 - 17 Nights Yacht Club Concierge
We were give complimentary AP's

Spending Money - £1700

All in all we have spent £4690 on the holiday side of things.

A whole lot more on the wedding side of it though!!

Cost of holiday

£2300

Plus tickets and dining plan

approx

£3200

plus spends for three teenagers (and two first timers who WILL go crazy as soon as they hit the shops)

i'd guess that ours will be around the £4500 mark by the time we've gone, shopped, conquered, eaten, ridden, splashed, swum and positively rocked WDW!

I have not finalised the details yet though based on research we are aiming at-

£1250 for fly drive (2 adults and 1 child)
£3300 for deluxe hotel
£800 for Disney tickets, Sea world an US/IOA

Total £5350

So far the budget for our Aug 2009 trip is £6500 plus DDs BF (he's paying for most of his expenses, but we are paying for half of their room).

We plan to stay for 5 days at POP then 9 days at POR - hopefully with AP discounts.
Hoping to get point plus money flights with VA.

Last two trips we have spent in the region of £6000 - £7000 that includes everything except travel insurance which we have as an annual policy.

Next year I expect it to be more - the first three days of the holiday will either be a 3 night DIsney Cruise or 3 nights at the Hard Rock, then we've got ouir flights (upgrade to Premium) villa, tickets, car hire, spends.....looking at closer to £8000 I think!!!! :scared1: :scared1:
