We will be going in August with 5 for 3 passes. How much does it cost to upgrade to Annual Passes?
I think they apply the price you paid for the tickets you hold toward the AP you want to upgrade to.....make sure you upgrade on your last day using your original tickets, as they will make the AP good for 1 year from that date.....

1300 bucks is hard to swallow to get everyone the good APs, even at 100 bucks or so a month. I suppose I might be able to handle one of those and then the other 5 just low level ones. $720 is alot easier to handle! Can you upgrade an AP after you buy it? Does anyone from northern CA have any experience getting the monthly payment option? I hear that they will generally okay that even though it's supposed to be for southern CA only.Hmmmmm.....seems as tho when we upgraded it was a year from the upgrade day, but maybe my old brain is failing me.....definitely use your MM Entry first before upgrading tho!! Sorry if I misled anyone!

How can you not when it's that great a deal? Luckily our families know how much we love it and how much we go and they just gave us gift cards.
And yes, you can continue to upgrade to the next level of AP, but they do not prorate so keep in mind you will pay the full upgrade cost no matter when your AP expires. We did not do the payment plan, I used my Disney Visa and then paid it off when I was able to.

This is true -- unless they make a mistake. We just got APs in January. The Bank on Main St (where you go to upgrade) had such long lines that they kept telling everyone to come back. (The lines were so long that there were hundreds of people being told to come back tomorrow -- even those of us who had the AP special.) We had the downloaded APs from the special they were running, so technically we weren't even supposed to be allowed in to get our APs, but they stamped the temporary tickets we had from our first day of use and allowed us back in the park. They actualy were encouraging hundreds of people to come back the next day. There was 1 designated CM just doing this all night. No, they definitely backdate it to the first day of your park hopper use.

, sad for me!
Originally, my CM dated mine for Jan 4 and then she caught the mistake after making the AP & right before she handed it to me.
Then she made me another one and that's the one I got to keep.
It was nuts in January. I don't think they were prepared for the sheer number of people wanting to upgrade their passes or who bought the DAP special. We waited in line at least an hour, and we didn't even get a ride at the end!
I'm in NorCal and when I asked about the payment plan, the CM said it was only for SoCal residents. I mentioned that someone on this board was able to do it, and he still refused. So it sounds like it may depend on the CM you get to help you.

You can buy the Costco Deluxe AP for $269, same price as gate. But you get a $50 Disney gift card. That $50 can be applied towards upgrading to AP with parking or Premium AP. If you had also bought a park hopper pass then that amount would be credited as well. However, it is my understanding Disney will not give back any $'s if your credits exceed the cost of the Premium AP.
