How much does Disney Visa discount rooms?

We booked for Dec. at rack rate and it really isn't feasible so I was wondering if it would be worth it to apply for a Disney Visa.

A Disney Visa card won't get you any discounts on rooms or vacations per se. Holders of a Disney Visa will often get advance notification of discounts that will usually be coming available to the general public. There are also discounts available for booking things like Disney on Ice and Disney Broadway shows. Also, if you book and pay for a Disney vacation with that Visa you can enjoy 6 months of no finance charges though. So that is one nice perk!

I posted this question elsewhere on the boards, but I will ask again......If you receive a Disney visa code, do you have to pay for the trip with the Disney visa, or can you pay another way? This may be a dumb question, but just wondering if you could give proof of your card, like AAA??

Oh, and also, how many rooms can you apply the code to? If I have the visa and the code comes out, can I use it for my other 2 rooms I have booked for my family?

I have an additional question. Can I book now with only the $200 deposit, pay it off right away and then pay the balance of the reservation with the Disney Visa later and get the 6 months free financing at that point or does the free financing start with the $200 deposit?

We're not going until December and I am hoping to be able to use DH's bonus that he gets in February to pay whatever we haven't been able to cover by that time.

Tkoran - yes you can. We did exactly that for our upcoming April trip - $200deposit about 6 months out and then balance 60 days out. Both were listed separately as 0% APR for 6 months.
