How much does Disney After Hours effect crowds?

I was looking at which day to do which park and our Magic Kingdom day falls best on a day with Disney After Hours- we would not do the event (too expensive), but I wanted to know how much it effects crowds and do they start letting in people early like some other ticketed events.

I was looking at which day to do which park and our Magic Kingdom day falls best on a day with Disney After Hours- we would not do the event (too expensive), but I wanted to know how much it effects crowds and do they start letting in people early like some other ticketed events.

DAH ticket holders are allowed in officially at 7pm, around 6pm in practice (regardless of DAH event hours).

Generally speaking the guest count at DAH is too low to create material “crossover” traffic in that 6pm- park closing time. Yes there is some, but it’s too small to be able to dramatically change crowd levels to a noticeable level. It has historically not been like MNSSHP and MVMCP where crossover crowds can be far more substantial.
